My poison type eeveelution, scorpeon. The frill threat display was a bit difficult to figure out but I like how it turned out :) (also I know frilled lizards aren’t venomous despite being the inspiration for that aspect of the design but. shush lol)

Scorpeon (Bug/Poison)

#??? - On rare occasion, an Eevee can be affected by more than one environmental factor, and reacts to grow into a new, rare evolution. Eevee who have been frequently in contact with the toxins of Bug-type Pokemon have a chance to evolve into the Bug/Poison-type Scorpeon; as such, these Eeveelutions can be found in any area where venomous Bug Pokemon gather in large numbers. A simple paralyzing toxin is contained in the tips of all their spikes, but the stinger on their tail contains a specialized mix of toxins that they can alter at will for a variety of potencies and effects. Despite their fearsome appearance, Scorpeon do not seek out battles and will attempt to warn off potential opponents by rattling their segmented ears. Gravid individuals will produce a specialized, mild venom in preparation for their litter; the sweet taste attracts newborn Eevee, whose early exposure to the substance will prompt their evolution into a Scorpeon upon maturity.

Is it just me or is the most likely outcome of accidentally poisoning yourself on one of your own Scorpeon's spikes getting stung again as it adjusts it's venom into some kind of countervenom?

Absolutely! I think a Scorpeon trainer would keep on them some spray medicine and counter-venom that their Scorpeon had made, but there would definitely be some additional "oops let me fix that" stings early on, for sure.

Since it seems like GameFreak isn’t gonna do any more eeveelutions, here’s sketches of my eeveelution fakemon!

Their names and a couple other things are under the cut

Ghost type: Spectreon

Bug type: Papeon

Steel type: Titaneon

Dragon type: Drageon

Poison type: Scorpeon

Fighting type: Champeon

Flying type: Zephreon

Rock type: Jewelreon

Ground type: Warreneon

I know drageon is too obvious as a name but we have leafeon and flareon, so gimme a break /lh

Design notes

Spectreon- the paws are transparent and the dark parts are always wispy, like a ghostly fire. It’s also the only eeveelution that doesn’t have pupils and I wondered if that would be too creepy for pokémon but I mean… we have parasect. The shiny is blue, making it look like a ghostly fire or a will-o-wisp.

Papeon- Based on a luna moth, isn’t actually an insect but looks like one cuz idk natural evolution got weird I guess. The shiny colors are based on rosy maple moths.

Titaneon- Nothing much to say but since it can’t be seen here, the metal shell covers its back too with more spikes along the spine. The metal is also flexible cuz fiction. The spikes on it are to deal damage while it’s defending itself.

Drageon- Based on an eastern dragon and while it doesn’t have wings, it can still fly just like the eastern dragons. But in drageon’s case, it’s probably dragon type energy that allows it to fly cuz fiction. Its body is also slightly more elongated than the other eevees. It’s not also flying type, it’s mono-dragon. Its shiny unintentionally looks a lot like flareon but they’re just colors I often see for eastern dragons.

Scorpeon- Based on things that come to mind when I think of venomous creatures (fangs, poisonous barbs, scorpion tail, ect.). Also the fur around its neck pops up like a frill-neck lizard when it feels threatened. The shiny colors are a slight reference to coral snake’s colors.

Champeon- The tail is supposed to vaguely look like a fist with knuckles.

Zephreon- Colors are meant to be camouflage (blue sky, white clouds, yellow sun). The shiny version is the same but with the night sky instead.

Jewelreon- The fur on its head is designed to look like a crown :). The shiny’s “crown” is purple cuz the color is commonly associated with royalty.

Warreneon- Mostly based on a hare. Tail is kinda like a combo of jolteon’s and eevee’s; short and fluffy, and supposed to look like a typical rabbit tail, but it’s still bigger than that of a rabbit’s cuz it’s still an eeveelution.

Name origins

Spectreon: (spek-trē-ôn), specter or spectre is a ghost

Papeon: (pap-ē-ôn), the word papillon is French for butterfly or moth

Titaneon: (tī-tā-nē-ôn), titanium is a very hard metal

Drageon: (drag-ē-ôn), dragon. it’s dragon type

Scorpeon: (skôr-pē-ôn), a scorpion is a venomous creature

Champeon: (CHam-pē-ôn), a champion is someone who fights for a cause or on behalf of someone and fighting types are honorable and some even fight for justice

Zephreon: (zef-rē-ôn), Zephyr is the Greek god of the west wind

Jewelreon: (jōōl-rē-ôn), jewelry are accessories like necklaces that are made out of jewels

Warreneon: (wô-re-nē-ôn), a warren is a network of rabbit burrows

I’m going back to sleep in a minute but I’ll post this first so

I couldn’t decide in the antennae but this is the general idea, i traced a jolteon to get the proportions right since I have a lot of trouble with that I just wanted to get the design done before i try the final thing, which will be posing better and not have a weird leg and drawn properly and stuff. I really like the colours but the general trend is very few since the concepts behind eeveelutions are basic depictions of the type, I’ve been staring at it long enough to not be able to tell if it fits, keeping it clear while simplifying colours is tough. I hope it isn’t busier than sylveon that seems for sure like as Much as they can get away with.

The idea behind it is it evolves with like, the shed shell item or something with a similar name, if wears the shell for protection and since eevee is very influenced by it’s surroundings it becomes a bug type, it’s fur is very fine and it can use it to climb which is why the leg parts are like legwarmer shaped. The pokemon the shell is from has never been seen officially but it’s likely some relative of the gliscor and drapion families

and this is its current shiny! It might change a bit but it’s gonna be purple for sure
