Talking with other scotland fans (mostly on twitter icl) made me realise that we all have our own little rarepairs for him so I decided to draw them all because multishipping is cool! (Those that were not drawn with a moot in mind come directly from my sleep deprived brain)
I realised that I hadn't shared this on its own. While I am working on others, I'll mainly post art I haven't shown before!
This was a Commission from a friend of mine, also known as Kat!
They commissioned 6 pieces from me, which I am working on and showing them off as I finish them!
This couldn’t be it, she couldn’t be gone, especially not after this night.
They were going to a party together, at a friends home. They were both grinning, ready to have a good time. Before they got out of his car and into the chilled air, Ariel pulled Alistair in for a short kiss, only long enough for him to realize he was being kissed. Even though she did this all the time, he was still surprised every time.
"Let’s go, I could use a night of fun after this hell week at work." Her voice showed her excitement as the girl got out of the car and waited for the other to follow. When he was getting out, Alistair smiled at the sight of his wife, looking gorgeous as ever in that little dress. His smile only widened as he stood next to her, taking her hand. She was taller than him, by a good amount, and it never failed to make them smile when it was so noticeable.
"Alright, alright, come on." The read head laughed at the end of his statement, leading her inside. A friend welcomed them and they were able to say a quick hello while looking around, seeing joints and alcohol all over the place. As Ariel took the lead of pulling Alistair through the house, they passed through a room where people were dancing. This is where they separated, as the Dane wanted to dance to the loud music and he wanted to go find a dink first.
A friend was taking Alistair to the table with the drinks, in the next room over. Once there, he saw one of his old friends, and said hello, and they started talking. She was smiling at him a lot, and stayed close. They started drinking, taking shots out of plastic cups. In general, everyone was having a fantastic time, with a light atmosphere. He started walking away to fine Ariel, when he was pulled back by the friend, and pulled into the room off the kitchen. Just passed the doorway, so they could still see the other room.
She was laughing a bit, and he told a joke. He went to say the punchline, when suddenly she was kissing him. He tried to back out of the kiss, but their lips met for a moment, and when he looked back to the other room, he felt the room freeze for a moment.
There was Ariel, standing and watching him, and he knew that face, the one she made when she was fighting off tears. He moved away from the girl, who was watching with a raised eyebrow.
"Ariel, listen-" He tried to put his hand on her arm, but she waved him off, and pushed past him to the door to outside. Alistair turned to follow, but was pulled back by his buddy, who was asking him to do something. He had to spend some time explaining that he really had to go, an proceeded to push through the people to outside, and looked both ways, deciding which way she was more likely to go.
He couldn’t believe this happened, that he upset the love of his life that much. He didn’t even kiss her, surely Ariel would understand it was a simple mistake that he wanted no part of. But for now, he just had to find her. The Scotsman tried her cell phone, and didn’t get an answer. He didn’t expect to, but it was worth a try.
After a while of walking in the cool night air, he came to a street crossing that was being blocked by an ambulance and several other vehicles. Curious, he stopped to watch them move a stretched into the ambulance.
That’s when the panic set in, as that hair and outfit were familiar, they were hers. He watched the ambulance drive away, before turning to someone else standing by. He started grilling them with questions, but didn’t wait long for answers before turning around and running, he had to get to the hospital, but his car would be faster than running the whole way.
Once in the vehicle, and on his way to the nearest hospital, the speed limit was broken, as were many rules of the road. He was being honked at, given obscene gestures, and many were most likely cursing at him from their cars. He wasn’t thinking about that though, he was thinking of the bloodied up face of his girlfriend.
After a shorter drive than it should have been, he pulled into a space and parked, walking quickly into the building. He went to the front desk, moving in front of anyone who was standing there.
"Where’s the emergency room, where is the fucking emergency room?" The lady at the desk didn’t seem to take kindly to that, asking him to wait a moment as she was helping others, and eventually he gave up, walking off, following signs until he found the emergency room. He started going room to room, and eventually, he found the right one.
But the doctor was putting stuff away, and he heard the nurses muttering things like contacting family, organ donations, and other such questions. He started walking closer, speaking to make them notice him. “What happened? What are you doing, what are you talking about?”
The doctor approached him, but Alistair started lashing out at him. Why wasn’t he doing more? Questions flew, and it started getting violent. The doctor and a couple of the male nurses had to take him out of the room, screaming and everyone they passed just looked away.
They knew where they were, what most likely happened. Eventually the sat him down, and started explaining what happened. She was dead, they had to tell him that. Alistair just broke down, crying, it wasn’t supposed to end this way.
The worst part was the image of her hurt, crushed face right before she left the party. It was his fault, he thought that anyway, and now she was gone.
She probably died angry with him, and he had no idea how he was going to live with this one.
