AI is at it again. There’s no escaping it anywhere in life.
Some bright spark has brought it upon themselves to allow AI to predict who will be managing each of the relegated clubs when the new season starts.
So let’s see how they do.
1. Wolves finished bottom having brought Rob Edwards in at the start of January in hope that he would keep them up. He didn’t but there’s nothing to suggest that he will be leaving. So safe bet, I reckon, that he will still be there in August.
2. Burnley got rid of Scott Parker as soon as relegation was confirmed and announced that they would appoint a replacement in the summer. Steven Gerrard was the early favourite and, if AI is to be believed, he has held a series of talks with Burnley, which are ‘ongoing’. Other sources suggest he’s not interested. The fans certainly don’t want him, so we’ll see.
3. The one that AI has already got wrong. Current West Ham manager Nuno Espírito Santo signed an extension to his current contract only this week. For what it’s worth I can see Scott Parker going to Bristol City.
So it’s one wrong so far. My guess is AI will get two wrong.
