Vanhal Concerto with Scott Pingel (principal bass of San Francisco Symphony) playing the Koussevitsky/Karr bass accompanied by the San Francisco Academy Orchestra led by Andrei Gorbatenko.

*I'd highly recommend this as an audition piece. It's simple but lets you have a lot of artistic freedom to make it your own. Also, judges hear Koussevitzky and Bottesini all day, so you don't have to compete with that.
