“CINCINNATI’S TABLE”

Founded in 1996 ArtWorks now has more than 20 years of experience transforming the streets of Cincinnati while creating countless opportunities for area youth and artists. Scott Donaldson’s experience as a set designer and scene painter then as artist and exhibit designer led to his selection by ArtWorks to design and lead this 2011 project at Vine St. near 7th, where Cincinnati’s CBD meets its Over-the-Rhine (OTR) neighborhood. In the intervening years since he painted this scene, OTR has continued to see meteoric transformation and Vine St. is at the center. Inspired by Dutch still lifes, this Donaldson creation pays homage to the culinary arts in Cincinnati but, characteristic of many of the 11 murals he’s now created in or around the city, takes a decidedly surreal turn with the inclusion of flying fish and winged pigs. @artworkscincy
