There is no question that honey is a great natural product, recognised by many as a superfood and consumed all over the world for many centuries. It’s a sweet, tasty treat. Soothing for sore throats and restorative in cold remedies.
As well as this, honey has many beneficial properties that make it a popular choice for use in skincare products too. This is something we quickly recognised at Scottish Fine Soaps. We started experimenting with honey in our products and loved it so much we built an entire range around it - Honey B! Today Honey B is one of our most established ranges, with a great selection of bath and body products.
So, what makes honey so great? Firstly, honey is known to be “hygroscopic”, which means it attracts and retains moisture. This is great news for dry skin as it can help lock in much needed hydration. Honey isn’t oily so it’s great for combination skin too as it will moisturise without blocking pores which can cause breakouts. In addition to this Honey is a natural antioxidant, which means it can help eradicate blemishes, without over-drying or aggravating the skin.
To make our Honey B range even better we’ve added other great skin-loving ingredients, such as softening Shea Butter, luxurious Royal Jelly, Beeswax and Vitamin E. This is combined with scents of musk and vanilla to give a beautiful, softly fragranced product that most importantly, is kind to skin.
