Ah, dude, my condolences on not being able to see my mustache
Don't you have a boyfriend you can get to tell this guy to back off?
Haha, that would make things convienent, right? I wish but no, totally don’t.
QUESTIONS! - ALWAYS POST THE RULES. - ANSWER THE QUESTIONS OF THE PERSON WHO TAGGED YOU. - THEN WRITE 11 NEW ONES. - TAG 11 PEOPLE. - LET THEM KNOW YOU TAGGED THEM
Oh dear, since Becca has tagged me, I shall have to answer~
1. If you had the chance to change your major/profession, what would you take or do and why?
Yes, a thousand times yes. I’m okay with my majors, but i could do with a different career. The last couple years I have felt really listless. I’d love to switch to something which gives me a bit more purpose in life. This whole working for rich people thing? I’m done with it.
2. Where is your most favorite place in the world?
This is a hard one, but a place I would definitely love to be would be at the Tenryuuji Temple in Kyoto, Japan. I fell in love with everything about that place, and I love just wondering the paths there. Could definitely do with going back soon.
3. Do you think it is possible to have a real relationship with an online person and if so on the scale of relationships how serious could an online thing get?
I think it is certainly possible to build a relationship with an online person. I think you can make deep emotional connections with people, and that can surely lead things along, but I do believe that at some point you will have to meet and learn something more about them. There is something you only get from face to face interaction, and I feel it is greater and more true to a person than what we represent.
4. Moral grounds and physical capability aside, if you could create the perfect “heist” what would you do?
Would I? Yes. What kind of heist? Hell, I am not so sure. I’d like to think it would be a caper along the lines of Oceans 11. I actually have a large cast of friends I think I could call upon for something like this… hrm..
5. What is your preferred mode of transportation for long journeys and why?
Oh man, good question. I love driving. It affords me large amounts of time to think, of dedicated time to listen, or even just time to be quiet. Piloting my own small plane is also fun, because I think the altitude gives a bit of perspective that is hard to grasp without the visual aid (hence Philosofly). For super long travel? I would take a plane. I could maybe do a boat, but I never have taken any significantly long boat trip, so who knows? I think trains might drive me nuts.
6. Why do you follow my tumblr?
Hah, the question of the hour. You are my friend. We worked together. We would get coffee or tea and talk for hours, or even just chat on the phone. You are a person whose company I enjoy, with whom I can be unabashedly geeky, and with whom I feel comfortable.
7. What is most fun word to say?
I am terribly fond of the work ubiquitous. That, or salacious.
8. Do you still swing on the swings at the park?
Were there a park nearby, I most assuredly would.
9. What questions do you mull over late at night when you can’t sleep?
Dozens of things. Work, at times. Thesis, at others. Soul searching for a purpose, more often.
10. What is your perfect adventure?
My perfect adventure is exploring. I mean, it could totally be some Indiana Jones level shit, but in all honesty, it was the exploration. Lets go somewhere we haven’t been before, talked to people we have never talked to before, and do things in the spirit of adventure that we would never have done alone. An adventure, not just in place and theme, does not always just lead to places, but to realizations of the self.
11. If we had a day to spend together in your town what would we do?
Oh man, well, I think the Roasterie tour would definitely be in order. A Kansas City based coffee company, giant airplane on their roof, and delicious coffee. Then exploring the underground office cave (seriously, Kansas City has a huge underground like office city where companies can get offices and stuff in giant lime stone caves. If memory serves me, I think they roast the beans for the Roasterie coffee there). Oh man, after that, maybe hit Power and Light. Oh! There is a bad ass board game and tabletop store in my town- definitely a stop there!
My questions as follow:
If you had a machine that took you exactly where you did not want to be, where would it take you?
What is your ideal sci fi / fantasy setting?
Star Wars or Star Trek (you must pick one, no rationalizing!)?
What place feels like home, that isn’t home?
Red pill or blue pill?
In the last 36 hours, what is something you should have done, but you willfully chose not to do?
Early mornings or late nights?
Life’s reset button! You get to start over, but get to keep one skill from your current adult life- What is it?
Message in a bottle: What does it say?
For what question is the best answer “Being a motherfucking sorcerer?”
Do you have a poem memorized? Which one is it?
Okay, these are my questions… tags below.
Bahaha, had to check and make sure Scotty and Brandy didn't unfollow me for that comment, haha.
