-> There are so many awesome HPHL gals and I’d be here for a long time if I picked every single one of them and tbh it’s what they deserve but alas I don’t have a long time. So I picked three of my own girls (kind of?) and three that belong to others 💕✨
Almira ‘Mira’ Iverach
There may not be much content for Mira (yet) but I adore her so much. She had a complicated and somewhat traumatic childhood, being able to see and feel the dead and with the death of her mother. She learned from this, though, that it was important to be kind and live life to the full because you never know how long you’ve got. She’s a tough nut to crack when it comes to emotions but if she trusts you enough to let you in close then she’s the most wonderful, living friend.
Miriam & Zelda Cairncross
Miriam and Zelda absolutely had to be on this list even though they’re not main characters as such, although I could argue that Zelda is a HPHL MC as she was born in the same year as the rest of them. Anyway, these two gals are the best mother-daughter duo; they’re adored by Eli and won’t take any shit from any man. They spend a lot of time together reading and baking and love to play little pranks on Eli when he’s working. Individually they’re strong, feisty, compassionate women but when they’re together they’re pretty formidable and you certainly don’t want to get on the wrong side of them.
Harriet ‘Scout’ Springer
Again, there’s not much content for Scout but I do love her for several reasons. She’s very independent, very confident, very intelligent, and will kick ass for two reasons: she wants to beat you in Quidditch and you’re being a bully. She goes on to be a top coach and professional Quidditch player and revolutionises the Quidditch world in terms of making it more accepting of women because if there’s one thing she can’t stand it’s misogyny. Even if she’s known you for five minutes she’ll end up acting like a big sister and will make you feel safe and welcome amongst her and her friends.
Siobhan Llewelyn — @kc-and-co
I know what you’re thinking but I’m her biggest fan (other than Galen of course) and she makes every list where possible. This girl literally invented artificial dragon heartstrings for wand cores, like ???!!??!!!!! that’s so badass and extraordinary I can’t even comprehend. Not only that but Galen Stagg of all people gets to call her his wife and even in their old age he still can’t believe it. I don’t know what to say about Shiv that won’t result in a 10000 word essay but she completely has my heart and soul 💙
Adelia Selwyn — @thatravenpuffwitch
I absolutely 100% truly believe that if Adelia was president of the world there would be no poverty and world peace. She’s so intelligent, so beautiful, so loving, and just incredible in every possible way. There’s something so intriguing about Adelia and I can’t put my finger on it, but I know that I’d want to be her best friend and spend so much time with her because I think there’s a lot to learn from Delia. Oh, and she also worked with the greatest alchemist of all time and nothing can beat that Edward Elric be jealous lmao
Leila Hellebore — @whatwouldvalerydo
Leila is super unique and her design is awesome. I always love reading about her in other people’s writing and I’ve had the pleasure to draw her too. She’s a half-demon which is so cool and we share the same personality type lol. She’s just a great presence in the fandom and it wouldn’t be the same without her. I also love her relationship with Reuben and the “Today’s Special” series made me love them more.
