I know topics on fiction can be up to debate however using a real nine year old child's voice stuck in time to make your fantasies is very sick.

Tuan has a weird show of affection towards Ethol. The show of her affections had started young in the military bases Tuan's father would be and she would be with him of course. Her father at the time was a commander like her and therefore she grew up not only in the base but around Danny, Ethol's adoptive caretaker.

Danny also has a weird relationship with Ethol, not as verbally or even romantic as Tuan is with her but in a different display. Danny's obsessions lie with a diety named Leviathan, and although captured, the diety has to be detained and protected. Danny growing distressed and as days go on less and less of 'control' of himself instead reproduced a copy of Leviathan. Not a clone but just a form of DNA to grow into its own. A much smaller and closer person that would be much easier for someone like Danny to communicate with. ---- He took upon himself to raise Ethol growing up, claiming her as his daughter and not being subtle about Leviathan being her mother, therefore not exactly protecting her from the truth of what is all happening but keeping her in a limbo of pretending it is innocent.

Danny's obsession with Leviathan subtly transferred to Ethol as well. Weird speech patterns and an uncomfortable relationship, putting her on a high pedestal in a similar way as he views Leviathan. Putting her in a position to deal with his emotions and since she was child letting himself use her as a dump for his feelings. Not being quiet about his thoughts whether pervy or nasty but keeping a protective enough wing over Ethol to depend on him. Never sexual in manner itself but emotionally incestuous.

Tuan grew up around the same age as Ethol if not a little older. Ethol was to oblivious to remember any of her and Tuan's relations from that young but Tuan did grew up around her for a bit before having to scurry off for training break friends. However being so young and witnessing such a relationship almost on the daily with Ethol it developed into Tuan's own unhealthy habits when she got older as well.

Of course again Danny has never made romantic or sexual advances towards his daughter, however still seeing a toxic relationship so young to Tuan simply developed into her own as she grew up very sheltered as well being trained in a military facility her whole life. This transferred over to when she was an adult and instead was technically one of Ethol's caretakers now {not in a parental way}, she didn't treat her attraction well now being in a similar position of power. This results in her advances being very uncomfortable and unnerving
