while I'm thinking about it: y'all should go listen to out of place. it kind of annoys me when people compare everything to tma, but this is sort of like tma, in the sense that there's a british dude who works in an archive talking about weird shit.
however! this is not paranormal, though it could fall into horror (especially in season 2). instead, andrew moss (mc) is working at a historical institute and keeps getting sent packages with artifacts that don't quite match up with our history, and tries to figure out how things are different wherever the things came from. i know i've learned a good bit of semi-random history from it and it's very interesting if pretty dark. and andrew sometimes talks about his boyfriend mike and mike's niece lola which is very sweet.
also, this is worthless because it's from another podcast hardly anyone listens to, but one episode has a couple of songs written and performed by matt roi berger and melissa lusk of fall of the house of sunshine
a warning: pretty much all of the alternate history scenarios presented are worse than what we have, and as such there's a lot of heavy topics. but if you're up for it, it's still fascinating and has some very intriguing plot developments later in s1 and through s2
it's also made by midnight disease productions, which does the hotel and scp archive, among other things, if you're looking for a familiar connection
so yeah. idk check it out
