which DnD class do you think Paul would be?
I’m honestly not that well-versed in DnD but I think the Ranger class is a pretty good fit for him? The Monk class would be fun too but I think physical (and spiritual?) perfection are not Paul’s goals, just means to get him closer to some other objectives. Perhaps Wizard would also work, but I think it doesn’t involve enough of the physical aspect to suit Paul. I even went and did those quizzes for him x x x and at least the version of him in my head consistently lands in the Ranger/Druid territory.
Basically, any class involving faith feels off to me (so… maybe not Druid?), as do those emphasizing just physical strength. Not that I think Paul doesn't value the latter, I just think he's far more versatile to permanently stick to it.
Unless you've meant what class he'd play as then... I think he'd try everything first and then probably settle on sth between Wizard and Fighter? The problem with Paul is that I do think he sees himself as a perfectly normal person despite him not always being exactly that (like, he’s kind of weird? Nothing alarming but also kind of a social outcast?). So he could choose Wizard or Fighter because those are totally normal “can study to become” classes and hmm. Isn’t that good? I feel like he’d like to avoid the classes which bring a lot of stereotypes to the table.
Anyways, sorry for taking a while to answer this, I was taking my time with those quizzes and digging up this fantasy-RPGish design I’ve made for Paul ages ago. No idea what I was basing his class on but my notes (which I’m not sharing because it was 2018 and whoops. cringefest) say he was supposed to be a shadow-mancer/illusionist begrudgingly working in some bigger guild. Curious 🤨
