I really love how character heights are framed in Leverage. Christian Kane isn't exactly a small person - 5'9" - but next to Timothy Hutton (6') and Aldis Hodge (6'1") he looks small! And they use that. Part of Eliot's skill is in using leverage against his opponents, because they're often larger than he is. He's never concerned about being the 'short' guy - in the Rundown Job, for example, he hops right up onto the stone bench to block the sniper's shot, completely unashamed.

Hell, Beth and Gina are both 5'7" - when they're in heels, they're as tall or taller than Christian is. I love that the height is never played for laughs.

Speaking of the women, I often perceive Parker as being taller than Sophie, even though the actresses are the same height and Sophie is usually in heels. Parker carries herself tall, much like Eliot does.

Nate tends to carry himself small, which leads to Nate and Sophie being of a similar perceived height (for me, anyway). Hardison actually does carry himself tall most of the time, which leads to some really nice height difference moments.

Listen we all remember the hug on Mt Kibari after Parker snubs Hardison (mostly on accident I'm pretty sure) and Eliot comes up and hugs him and walks away.

But that's actually the second hug on Mt Kibari. The first one happens right at the beginning - Hardison comes up and hugs Eliot without a word, and it goes on for a good three seconds before Eliot pushes him off.

It starts off as a bro hug, and then the camera pans to Sophie and Nate doing their thing and it comes back and Hardison has his arm wrapped around the back of Eliot's neck to hold him close and just before Eliot pushes him away he snuggles his head against Hardison's shoulder and --!!!!!!

Can we please talk about The Morning After Job where Eliot is helping haul Vector out of the courtroom and he growls "Mr Moreau would like to speak with you"

That's not a phrase he ever thought he would need to say again, but it rolls off his tongue so easily. How many other times did he say that? They're circling Moreau, closer and closer and his past is so close he can smell it in the acrid tang of fear that's pouring off Vector, and he says those words, and I just--!

I have a lot of feelings about this moment, okay???
