V either made it out alive, or didn't and went out with a fight.

The trail of oil on the floor implies either a body was dragged (dead or alive; whether that's by another character or by a sentinel) or she limped away badly injured or something along the lines.

I’ve spent a little while just staring at the these two frames trying to spot what was happening apart from the smudge and CLAMP!!

LOOK WHAT CLAMP DID

They keep teasing the idea that Lava Lamp is the child of Cardcaptor Sakura, even though it doesn’t really match up with all the facts we’ve been given, but they keep dropping the hints anyway to really sweeten the idea.

AND LOOK AT THEM SLIDING IN CARDCAPTOR SAKURA’S MAGIC CIRCLE.

I’m actually not sure if I should explain, but just in case anyone isn’t… you know, needlessly obsessed with every detail of the franchise, but the initial magic circle that Evil Wolverine has appearing beneath Lava Lamp here is essentially the Clow Reed magic circle, used by Clow and presumably people in his bloodline, since Evil Wolverine also uses it. Sakura also used it at the start of CCS when all the spells were still just running off of Clow Reed’s magic, but when that magic started to run out she had to make her own unique magic circle that is specific to her - and THAT’S the one that’s sliding in the second frame here. SPECIFICALLY Cardcaptor Sakura’s magic circle.

I suppose there is wiggle room for us to later learn that, perhaps, other Sakura’s would develop the same Magic Circle when building their powers, but that’s all just guessing. Up until THIS point in CLAMP the only person using this magic circle at all, ever, is the catch you catch me Cardcaptor. SO I WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE TO SEE EXACTLY WHAT PUZZLE CLAMP ARE FEEDING TO ME HERE
