"Mommy, I'm hungry," the little girl whined, fidgeting with the ribbons from the bow on her dress.
“I know, darling. But Mommy just needs to finish up a few more emails, then we can go into the break room to find you a snack.” Regina sighed, brushing stray hair away from her eyes as her other hand continued to type relentlessly. Her eyes barely left the computer screen, only daring to look away for a split second to make sure her daughter wasn’t touching anything she shouldn’t be.
