Are there resources to help people find sensory-accessible computer games?
Obviously everyone has different needs. Deafness, blindness, colorblindness, photosensitivity, coordination/proprioception problems, etc. each pose different challenges.
I have sensory processing disorder, and photosensitivity is the biggest barrier for me. Flashing lights can be painful, can be disorienting, and can be migraine triggers. Certain types of animation can also. I have to disable flashing lights, animated clocks, etc. to play.
I cannot play first-person-perspective games at all, ever, and I have trouble finding out whether I can play other games. Trial and error means a lot of error.
... but coordination/proprioception problems are another barrier for me. I can’t coordinate two hands at once. I can’t use the mouse and keyboard at the same time, and I have to use sticky keys for certain combinations.
