I was tagged by @earlgreytea68​ and I didn’t realize it until just now! She’s a fabulous author - everyone go check out her fic - seriously she’s amazing.

(1) I hate the word clean. And yeah ok I’m a bit of a slob but that’s not why. It just sounds wrong. Icky. I can’t explain it. Yeah I’m weird.

(2) I was interviewed for an article in the Wall Street Journal. It was about selling t-shirts with my art on them. This was back when Print on Demand was just starting out. That seems like an eon ago.

(3)I co-host a Doctor Who podcast - Earth Station Who. It is one of the most fun things I've ever done. I've made so many good friends and I'm meeting up with some of them at Dragoncon in Atlanta this year. I'm so excited!!

(4)I went to art school (two of them actually - Rhode Island School of Design and Art Center in California) and trained to be an oil painter. They would be horrified to know I paint so much fan art. They would be wrong of course. :D

(5) I pretty much ate nothing but bologna sandwiches between the ages of 6-10.

AND, the bit at the beginning when Danny says Alex saw right through him and knew he wasn’t fine? I love that that’s exactly what Danny offers Alex as well, and has basically become the foundation of their relationship. Why Danny hasn’t given up on Alex despite the fact that literally everyone has given him reason to.

YES! I love that both Alex and Danny are lonely and waiting for someone to notice, to really see them. They both say this, to each other. They are both playing a part and waiting for someone to see through that character to their real selves. I think they are both fundamentally different characters, but they have the same types of needs, and maybe those needs are actually universal needs of all people. To be seen.  I think the interpersonal relationships in London Spy are being written brilliantly.

7. A film you wish had a sequel?

Hmmm, that’s tough! I think I’ll take the easy road and say that I wish they’d made Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy a series instead of one movie. But the movies I really love, part of why I love them is the way they end, and therefore I wouldn’t want a sequel. 

8. Which book would you like to see adapted into a film?

I can’t think of any books I’d like to see adapted into films that haven’t already been adapted into films! (Although I wish The Time-Traveler’s Wife had been adapted into a good film.)

So instead I will answer this for fic. The fic I would most like to see adapted into a film is... hmmm... The Bang and the Clatter. Because baseball uniforms. ;-)
