SCRIBES - Youth Creative Writing Camps
Registration is open for Scribes Creative Writing Camps offered through Hugo House this summer! I am excited to be co-teaching these two sessions, but there are lots of offerings available for a range of ages.
Both of these camps will take place online via Zoom, so students can connect in from anywhere. Sliding scale tuition (no questions asked), and full scholarships also available (quick application, rolling).

9th-12th Grade - Creative Writing Scribes, w/ instructors Corinne Manning & Sierra Nelson, July 19th-23rd, 2021. (This camp will take place online using Zoom.) In this exploratory camp, students will develop their creative writing abilities by experimenting in a wide variety of prose and poetry. Students will examine works from carefully curated authors and will participate in writing activities, craft exercises, and artistic experiences designed to inspire their imaginations. The week will culminate with a reading of student work and the option for students to contribute a chosen piece to a digital anthology of their work. 7th-8th Grade - Poetry Scribes, w/ instructors Arianne True & Sierra Nelson, Aug 9th-13th, 2021. (This camp will take place online using Zoom.) Students will delve into the craft of poetry, immersing themselves in diverse forms of written expression and learning poetic techniques. Students will read a wide variety of work from carefully curated poets and will participate in writing activities, craft exercises, and experiences designed to inspire their imaginations. This camp will culminate with a reading of student work and the option for students to contribute a chosen piece to a digital anthology of their work.
