Tidbit That May or May Not Fall on a Tuesday Time! :D

This guy ^^^ (and these other people) are from my original story unofficially titled “Under the Ego” (a reference to a theory in psychology on people having a type of “shadow” self, it’s a bunch of humbo jumbo that I still need to do more research on, but I’m pretty sure this story will be based upon that idea!).

Anyways, consider this your introduction to this angsty world I’ve created! The story will follow Ethan Stephan Winslow (picture above all edge-like) and Sally Paulina Hyland as they expose a conspiracy involving using people and their “shadows” as military weapons. This story is very much a WIP so keep in mind I’m still figuring out basic plot arcs and character roles LOL..

In the UtE world, everybody is born with a shadow. Manifesting itself as a physical, potentially harmful being, however, isn’t guaranteed; the most common way to get “corrupted” by your shadow is to undergo an extremely traumatizing experience. People who don’t can live a normal life and never interact with their shadow; people who do must keep it a secret if they want to keep their freedom, since shadow people are seen as extremely dangerous and unpredictable monsters. If you are found out, you are taken to one of many different military bases scattered throughout the world. If you resist, you are either killed without hesitation or taken by force (depends on who you are and what you possess). It’s been labelled as taboo to talk about and acknowledge shadow people and the way they’re treated.

I’m still trying to figure out how exactly the shadow powers work, as of now I picture them as a sort of extension of the limbs and probably an extreme strength and speed boost when in use and especially during combat.

This was a little more than a tidbit, but I hope this provides some context bc quite a bit of my art is of these characters! Feel free to ask questions, it would probably really help with my world/character building as well!!

but yeah i decided a nice blue sky n all that would make anyone happy rather than gloomy so this happened!! i hate clouds!! ! (i actually like clouds) i hate drawing clouds!! !

Didn’t come out exactly like i wanted, but i guess im happy with it regardless; it was good layer option + shading practice huehue

(Also, if ya can’t tell bc its not the best shading ever, they’re layin on the floor below a broken skylight; also in an abandoned warehouse bc they’re very classy people lmao)
