Beautiful And Sad

Wow, that was such a beautiful ending for one of may favorite all time shows. I’m a little bitter about Scarlett and Gunnar not ending up together. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t and she ends up with some random guy a few months later. I feel like they just weren’t sure what to do with her character. I did absolutely love that ending through with Rayna in the flashback and then her and everyone singing their song on stage. Another wonderful show gone and these two didn’t get their happy ending together, but always in my heart.

All I have to say is Scarlett & Gunnar are my Rayna & Deacon so they better end up together because one of them deserves a happy ending.

Watching Scarlett and Gunnar sing As The Crow Flies was so heartbreaking because it was basically an anthem for their relationship. I lost it when she broke on stage and you could tell that her family could see how much pain she was in. As Gunnar looked over into her eyes he could see and he knew what it meant. I don’t blame Gunnar for what he said to Scarlett, because we have seen him fight for her all season even to the point of raising another mans baby. I believe that Scarlett loves Gunnar but she is lost right now after everything that’s happened and so unsure of herself. I believe that Scarlett needs to feel what it’s like to not have Gunnar by her side in order to really appreciate him and sort out her feelings for him. I dread seeing her with another guy especially since she made that comment to Gunnar about him needing to figure out things by himself, but that’s probably going to happen. I still believe They will find their way back to each other just like Deacon and Rayna did and I hope that next season Scarlett realizes she’s a strong independent woman whose decisions are valid and she fights for Gunnar because she knows he’s always been the right choice.
