Greatest Stage Door Experience(s)!
I don't have a lot of crazy stage door experiences and this one (I'm actually sharing two but they're small...) isn't all that CRAZY, but it still makes me happy everytime I think about it. When I saw The Great Gatsby, I met the woman who played Daisy. She was literally one of the sweetest people I've ever met. She signed my playbill and was so excited when we told her we loved the show. Also, we sat right next to the parents of the woman playing Jordan. They were so emotional and even though we'd never met, they included us (my family and myself) in their little family group. It was really sweet and I'm so glad that I got to be a part of that. The second experience I have to mention happened when I saw Evita. We were absolutely thrilled to see the actors after the show. It was the last performance of the entire show and it was packed. We stood in the lobby as they all got photographs done and were handed roses. They were surrounded by their family and everyone was crying happy tears. It was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen and I don't think I'll ever forget that night.❤️
