Panel Discussion: Rescuing the Sustainable Development Goals The pandemic, climate change, global instability, and what the UN’s Global Crisis Response Group is calling the “greatest cost-of-living increase in a generation have pushed millions of people back into poverty, damaged societies, and reduced our collective capacity to tackle climate change and other deep systemic changes. #TBT to this time last week when @MediaForCC, in collaboration with the Embassy of Sweden invited me to speak to representatives from 30 NGO's on "The Role of New Media in Achieving the SDGs.⁣ ⁣ My entire talk was centered on three points:⁣ ⁣ 1. Why makes you different? We all know the problem we want to solve, but drill down and find the niche that you can focus on and gives the media a new angle to that problem. Be the repository of data and knowledge on that niche. @akinalabi explained this beautifully with an analogy on restaurants vs amala spots. ⁣ ⁣ 2. Document everything. Write your vision and track your journey so you can grow/build trust with your audience and have clarity on potential collaborations.⁣ ⁣ 3. Collaborate.
