Red string of fate but with a twist

What if the kind of string leading you to your soulmate meant something? Just some concept ideas (Naruto) Sakura x reader, Asura x reader, Daryl Dixon x reader

General warning: Angst on all of these because that is just my current mode.

Sakura

Her string is made up old fashioned silk that was once used for medical surgical sutures. It's a thin string that is still very strong. Because the string is made for medical use, Sakura most likely meets her S/O in a medical setting of some sorts. Plus once the pair meet the string dyes itself to become the color of their love. I like to think it becomes a bright or blood red.

While the string is very strong, it can still melt away if needed. Sakura knows she is a ninja, that her job is deadly. If she were to ever die on the battlefield she would want her S/O to be free to love someone new.

Asura

His string is that of an infinity chain. No matter how it might twisted, be pulled, or smashed there is no breaking the chain. It'll go on forever and ever like the madness within everyone souls. There is no escaping the fear or the joy of infinity. How could you? As a simple human it's not a concept you could hope to every truly grasp.

The chains are so small you would right to assume its a string a at first. It's only after Asura has you pulled in close that you'll notice its a chain. Are you his prisoner? Are you his lover? Do you even want either of these options? Does he have a say in this either? Or is it all at the end of the day just madness?

Daryl Dixon

His string is the same string his bow uses, D97, but dyed the color of your favorite color. It's strong, flexible, and dependable much like Daryl himself. Before you entered his world that string was the only true pop of color in his life. He honestly never thought he would meet his S/O is the old world, and started to ignored the string in the new world.

Your love brings the power of a bow to the group. You two together are able to provide protection, food, and more. It is also a symbol of what the new world needs in love; people who are strong and dependable, but still flexible enough to adapt to never ending changes.

They were hesitant at first, but slowly warmed up to the extra affection

They can and will melt when you give them any affection

You're hugging them? They slouch and hug back.

You cup their cheeks and give them kisses? They smile a goofy grin and blush.

You play with their hair? They die right then and there.

Cuddling becomes a common occurrence between the two of you

You put on a movie and within a minute or two, you're in some comfortable position, holding each other

Ignore Ragnarok squirming in between the both of you while you're cuddling.

They're not big on PDA, but they like holding your pinky in public

They'll also hold onto the back of your shirt/bag/strap of your bag if they can't hold your pinky

They dont think they deserve someone as good as you to be their S/O
