What death note men would want to name their child!
(Creepypasta next???)
A/N: don't come for me with the Japanese names I'm not doing a whole bunch of research</333 and also don't mind if the boy names are atrocious I'm not as enthusiastic for boy names:')
L Lawliet: Serena, Lyla, Calista, Joan, Genevieve or Olivia. He'd want names with meaning, or very simple names. Leo, Evan, or Vincent for a boy. Wouldn't really mind either gender for his kid, as long as they grow up intelligent.
Light Yagami: "why would you ask that? Well, if I had to choose..." Mio, Hana, Emi, Ava or Sayu after his sister. Mostly basic names he doesn't give much thought to. Ethan, Charlie, Haru or Soichiro/ Soichi after his dad. He generally wouldn't want kids, but he'd lean towards being a girl dad.
Teru Mikami: Mia, Tsutomu, Dorothy, Ivy for girls, Theodore for a boy. He'd like names with meaning as well, he'd name his children with hard working or gift of God (see what I did there😏😏) woven into the meaning of their names. I think he'd lean more on being a girl dad, but would want a son to teach his beliefs, to be a hardworking gentleman.
Mello: Briana, Grace, Avery, Harper, or name his daughter after someone in his life he respects. Or a name he thinks would be tough in the streets. He'd be the most protective girl dad.
Near: Clara, Nancy, Julia, Nova, Jamie for girls and Rowan, Wyatt, Nicholas, Bailey and Isaac for boys. He'd want his kid's names to be a bit more out of the ordinary or not as basic. He'd treat his kids equally.
Matsuda: Bella, Lilly, Willow, Rose, Sydney, Aiko or Miyuki for girls, he'd be the #1 girl dad. Soichi as well after Soichiro Yagami for boys, Yuto or Yoshi. Something basic but with good meaning for boys.
Thank you for reading<3
Creds to @kodaswrld and @riottsrph for the dividers<3
summary: i saw a post on @ erasedscript's tiktok acc about being L's academic rival and there's some tension,,, and it got me thinkin what kind of types dn characters would have!
This one is based more specifically on the post i saw, but i think he'd like someone to have a casual, comfy yet thought out style. Simple accessories like bracelets, necklaces and headbands. It's not really about the clothes themselves, but more about the thought put into it.
Teru Mikami: Would like a more classy woman. Sleek, clean and put together. Again, less is more with accessories. simple dresses, no logoed shirts, dress pants, kitten heels, etc.
(and i feel like he'd buy you fancy clothes)
Mello (Mihael Kheel):
Either into streetwear, or a style similar to his. Accessories are everything. Belts, bangles, earrings, layers and colors.
Light Yagami:
I don't think he cares all that much about how someone looks, i mean look at Misa he barely even looked at her. But if he had to choose, i think he'd perfer someone who dresses basic, not too many layers or super outstanding, a little classy.
little rant but i sometimes i listen to music and im like “this would be a perfect vibe for a fic” like HELLOO wdym im listening to youngest daughter but superheaven and now im imagining y/n and mihael keehl sharing a chocolate bar while outside 🥹🥹 i swear i love itgehdh
— i can’t imagine him having met someone through anything other than work or the Kira case
— so you were definitely in his bizarre little inner circle before there was any shot of romantic feelings involved
— once you kind of tumble into a spiral of romance, it’s pretty straightforward
— and describing it as a spiral of romance may not be the best description, considering that his idea of the epitome of romance is to willingly share a piece of cake with you or make your tea exactly as he watched you make it earlier.
— in the whole relationship, everything is subtle.
— so subtle, in fact, its questionable as to whether you are even officially together
— hes an acts of service type of guy, which is why it all feels very big in small moments
— although he’s good at reading people and can usually tell when something is up, you have to be blunt about any problems you have with your weird situation, communication is everything
— mostly just living in parallel to each other and your lives overlapping and intertwining every so often.
— essentially just being in each other's orbit constantly, occasionally leaning in to what the other was doing and making a small contribution. if either of you is struggling with anything, it's almost guaranteed the other can fill any gaps with fresh eyes instantly
— you kind of work in sync with each other too, like picking up each other's phrases and body language pretty quickly.
—if you ever asked for anything, you would absolutely get it, but mostly, he likes giving you little things that have some level of importance to him. (you now own one of two of his favourite type of cake fork)
— it takes a long time and a lot of patience for any level of intimacy to be regular between you two
— but soon enough its standard to be sitting next to each other with your pinky fingers curled around each other
— you pick up his cleaning habits, not that you weren’t clean before, but you always have hand sanitiser in your pocket now and wash your hands at least 50% more than you used to
— if you end up living together, you both have your own rooms because space is very important, but most nights are sleepovers in each other’s rooms.
— you quite like it though because it means you don’t have to accommodate him writing thoughts he gets mid sleep on the wall of your room
— also, i think canonically he doesn’t sleep for days then has a particularly long sleep.
— you kind of get used to this though, and your sleep schedule does too, but dont expect him to be cuddled up with you every time your eyes close, yk?
— he gets you custom made tracking/emergency devices disguised as accessories (cause bsfr if any of us are self inserting into death note we are having a mean wardrobe) and he makes you ones especially suited to each of your favourite outfits.
— isn’t really the going out type so dates are usually re-consuming media you’ve watched a million times before on the sofa, discussing lore and references and importance of colour schemes in scenes (nothing can be casually watched, its meant to be something to unwind but he simply cannot and so every scene is analysed)
— not that you’re complaining cause you think its so cute when he starts whipping out statistics and random knowledge non stop.
idk guys thats kinda it :) lmk if i should write more for death note
I was a fool for thinking that I would be able to get my requests done faster just because my schedule was less packed in comparison to last semester. There's so much I have to do at home.
"Hello? Earth on (y/n). If your thoughts keep on drifting away, you're going to fail your exam."
The light flick of a pencil against your forehead brought you back to reality. Your mind, disoriented for a split second, landed on the notes scattered across the table. Then your gaze met Light's who was sitting next to you, his head resting in his hand as he too was looking at you.
"Sorry," you muttered under your breath, grabbing your pen once more. The half-empty page of your block started to fill up as you copied his notes, though you couldn't stop your mind from drifting away ever so slowly whilst your hand continued scribbling formulas down.
His presence made you nervous. More than you wanted him to notice. Light was by no means a stranger to you. Both of you had known each other since middle school and were even attending the same college now. But this was new. Sitting here with him late at night in his room was different. Everything was different. And honestly, you were scared. Scared of the past repeating itself.
You hadn't even been aware of the way you had tightened the grip around the pen, your knuckles flexing under your skin. Not until his hand suddenly covered yours. It was warm and comforting, a stark contrast to the colder skin of yours. It was that touch that startled you and made you pause your movements.
"You're thinking about them again, don't you?"
It was a blessing and a curse at the same time to have someone who was as observant as Light. Then again, your thoughts must have been written all over your face. Again.
You couldn't say any words. The only sound that you managed to make and that converted your emotions somewhat accurately was a heavy sigh that had your shoulders deflating. You wondered if you were a bad girlfriend for thinking about someone else even when you were alone with Light.
"Hey, it's alright. I know that it hasn't been easy for you the last year."
He slowly put your hand down before he collected all the notes, putting them in a neat pile next to him. Brown eyes focused on you again after, his thumb rubbing over your knuckles.
"Let's stop studying for tonight. We've covered a lot."
"Okay... What are we going to do instead?"
"I don't know. What do you want to do right now?"
"Me?" Your heart was beating unnaturally loud within your ears in that moment. The silence of the room aside from your voices only enhanced that sound. It felt intimate which filled you with a surge of nervousness, hope and slight fear. There were lots of things that you could do with him but a wary part of your thoughts warned you to not follow those ideas. Unless you wanted to put your heart at risk again.
"We can just sit here if that makes you comfortable."
You had hesitated for too long. Now Light had been the one who had made a suggestion. Were you giving off a weird impression right now by staying so quiet?
"Wouldn't that be way too awkward?"
"What would make you comfortable the-" "I don't know!"
Now, that had been injustified. Cutting him off before he could even finish his question. You pursed your lips, feeling the hot shame for having acted so rude to Light just now. What had he done to deserve your frustration after all? A brief silence filled the space between the two of you, one that prevented your body from moving. Your heart had jumped into your throat, a bitter taste in the back of your mouth as you could only wait for his next words.
They weren't what you had expected.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have pestered you so much."
Oh god. You felt tears stinging your eyes when Light apologised suddenly. Your elbows landed on the desk, your hands pressing against your eyes. It would be silly to start crying right now and so you tried to prevent your emotions from spilling out.
"Why are you the one apologising? I'm the one who has been acting like an asshole."
"That's not true. You've just gone through a lot, (y/n)."
His touch was initially delicate as if gauging if you were alright with the physical contact. When you didn't give any verbal or physical sign that you were uncomfortable, both of his hands wrapped around your form and pulled you against his chest. Just in time as the first hot tears slipped out of your eyes and silent sobs escaped your mouth.
"I'm so sorry! I'm really sorry! I-"
Your voice got lost, caving under the force of your sobs. The shame was a lot yet you leaned into Light's embrace. If he was offering it to you that meant that he wasn't angry after all. Right?
"It's fine. I'm not mad with you."
Those worda partially eased your worries. Still, the nausea gathered somewhere in the pit of your stomach was still there. Your tearfilled gaze looked up at him. You imagined that you must have looked so pathetic in that moment, begging and needy.
With your vision blurry you couldn't see the subtle twitch of the corner of his mouth, the brief flash of a victorious grin that was gone in less than the blink of an eye.
"I'm not going to leave you. Never. Your ex was a fool. I'm not. I know that you're special."
A gleam lit up in your eyes. Validation and hope came to life as his honeyed words registered within your mind. Your hold on him tightened subtly, your gaze still holding traces of old wariness.
"You promise?"
"Of course," he whispered softly, one of his hands resting on your cheeks to wipe the salty tears away that rolled down your face.
“An angel sent from the heavens descending upon earth.. only I can adore you as you deserve to be adored.”
You were oblivious to the way his face twisted into a gleeful grin as he pulled you closer to his body, obstructing your gaze on purpose. You didn’t have to know about the fate that had truly befallen your ex. Not yet at least. You weren’t quite ready.
