Closer
So, I have got in contact with a Rap Artist who is realising an album in February and I am producing my track with him, after writing a couple of verses for him. My track starts of with him rapping as shown in the original song, it is a male and female singer, on the other hand my verses i have written are very emotional and deep. My vocalist sings the chorus’ and last verse the same as what is in the original. Here is a link to the original song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PT2_F-1esPk .
I have written about how he notices the good days are gone and replaced with bad, that all he does is drink and smoke, at the end of verse 1 he says he doesn’t want emotions for her anymore. However when my vocalist sings, she is singing about how she misses him and she wants him back. In the duration of the second verse he raps about how he wants her back, and now that he’s seen her feelings have changed and he needs to be with her.
To record my Rap Artist and Vocalist, I am using a SE2000 and or SE X1 and Rode K2 microphones because them together give the best sound. The SE2000 gives a nice crisp sound to the voice and the Rode K2 gives a natural sound to the voice, so both of these together compliment each other greatly. I personally use the SE2000 for recording everything (but drums) because of the clear crisp sounding it records.
