My first authentic Chongqing hotpot experience is truly opening. TBH, I love spicy food as I enjoy the taste and the sensation, but I always had a problem dealing with the aftermath. I had high end Sichuan style food several times before and the spices and he oiliness took heavy toll on my body. But at @liuyishouhotpot, the most amazing thing is the traditional Chongqing hotpot soup base, made from premium special butter and a ton of exotic spices and herbs, it seems oily but not greasy, and the combination of the spicy, numbing, umami and aromatic pleasures has astonished all my senses. 😂😍 The meats and vegetables are of great quality. For $2.50 you are provided with endless refills at the sauce bar and different types of fresh fruits. And at the end of the evening, my body felt perfectly fine, completely free from discomfort that I usually got from eating super spicy food at Indian or Sichuan places. It was truly incredible.
