Probably one of my most ambitious and weird ideas played out to date. When I found the crystal cut heart shaped seaglass piece at the beach recently I knew it needed a rustic claw prong setting. And when that was done I thought now it needs 44 individually designed sterling silver links forged from silver scrap I’ve generated in the studio over the years. Yikes! Each link is a little labour of love with infinity symbols, d-rings, fish and shepherd’s hook. It also gave me the chance to try out my new polishing barrel tumbler which I LOVE! Don’t know how I’ve done without it all these years. I was so excited to find the mother of Pearl handle from a piece of cutlery at Lyme Regis and like to imagine what dinners that has seen. And finally Roman Glass beads with a touch of iridescence and earthy tones to give finish this fully recycled art piece.
