Confidence becomes currency only once we realise we are no better or worse than anyone else, regardless of the status we’ve conjured up. Sexiness is deeply subjective. Thinking about one’s own only creates an illusion. It masks our humanity and it’s a missed opportunity to discover something more unifying. Power is not born from what we feel others perceive in us but by getting in touch with what we value. It comes when we set aside self-image and self-protection, so that it is just a shared moment between one person and another. When we manage to cut through the shit and communicate the essence of a moment, that is presence.
