Lexie glanced up at Leah and shook her head a bit, laughing at her friend. They were both off tomorrow, and the shots at Joe’s were proof of that. Another resident had just stolen Leah’s seat before she returned. “We should take a photo. We may never be this drunk again,” Lexie giggled reaching for her phone in front of them, her head resting against Leah’s shoulder.

It had been a stupid idea really and Kathleen should have known better. That seemed to be a recurring theme where Leah was concerned. She’d been rushing, just trying to get ready in time to get to Clark’s baseball game and knowing that her usual smart office attire wasn’t exactly for the bleachers, and had thought that the attendings’ lounge would be the most private place to change. Apparently she was wrong when, as her unbuttoned blouse was rest around her elbows, the last person she wanted to walk in did. She froze, not thinking about why the resident might be there or what she needed but only that this could not be happening. After a few beats of silence, her eyes widened as she suddenly began to exclaim, “Murphy! Get out!”
