MUN VS MUSE : BUNNY EDITION
open to all | seb’s bio | connection: an ex (partner, hook up, fling, whatever), coworker, really anything go wild
there were very few upsides to sebastian’s job as a bartender. the shitty edm music he had to listen to all night, the drunk idiots, the entitled partiers, the horny couples basically fucking on the dance floor -- those were all the things he detested. but it was all worth it for the tips (a pretty face sure helped with that) and his post-shift routine. he’d climb up to the roof, light up a smoke, and enjoy a quiet city while he waited for the train to start running again. and that’s what he was trying to do tonight, except the screech of the rooftop door opening interrupted his daydreams. “what’re you doing here?” he asked, head turned to fix his new guest with a glare.

Well, he did want to end up someplace new so he’d gone about adding in random coordinates into his transportalizer but... He did not expect to end up in a place like this. Maybe he should have been a bit more selective so he wouldn’t end up in the middle of someones..? What was this place? A lab? Blinking owlishly at first, he figured he should probably do something more than just stand there and look like an extremely out of place centerpiece. It could be worse, he thinks. It really could be. He could’ve landed in the midst of a volcanic eruption but that was the fun of it, he guessed. The rabbit isn’t particularly mindful of his own well being most of the time anyways so it didn’t quite matter to him. Taking a closer look around though, he had to say it was rather impressive.
His fingers perched at his lips, an old tic he had never gotten rid of, he wondered who was the owner of this place or rather; who was the one filling it? They had to be rather brilliant from the advancements of the tech he was looking at. His ears twitched a bit and he cocked a brow, deciding to peek around the nearest corner and check out some more. It was dangerous, snooping around some unknown person’s space, but he couldn’t say it wasn’t fun; he admittedly had a knack for getting himself into trouble obviously. When he settled his eyes on a person though, he couldn’t help the way his tail practically vibrated at the base of his spine for how elated he was to actually be able to figure out where he was and perhaps to have found the person responsible for the technology around them.
So, of course he was brazen and didn’t hesitate to close the gap, looming around the other’s side and idly looking at what he was doing as if he’d been there the whole time. “Hello~”
( @sebarnett ) She wished she could have stayed San Fransisco longer than a few months. It was the first time that she sat down and had a conversation- a real conversation, with Sebastian after everything. After Romulus, after Dex, after Paris. She’d gotten out of the city and slipped under the radar as fast as possible. Humans had been unaware of her antics for twenty years, she could keep a low profile now. Having council members in the same city might not have been a red flag for the humans, but when the last name was Barnett it attracted enough unwanted attention from others in their species. So, even as she finally got to know who her nephew was, she had to abandon him just as quickly. It was for his safety, for her safety. Worrying about that sort of thing was a new experience for her, but not an entirely unwelcome one.
When her flight finally made it into Tromso she went straight to the cabins. Backpack still on her shoulders, duffle in one hand, the other knocking on the door that she was told belonged to her nephew. “Anyone home in there?” She knocked harder, “I’d hate to have to pick the lock, again.”
@sebastianbarnett
Getting back to her apartment after the altercation with Dex was easy. She just went as fast as she could, and locked the door behind her, grateful nothing followed. There was no shame in taking some time away from the drama of everything outside her front door, letting herself have a moment to breath.
Getting back to her apartment was easy; leaving it was proving to be more difficult. There wasn’t any thing in the house to keep her busy, even the milk in the fridge had gone bad so she couldn’t bake to keep her mind from wandering.
She sat at her kitchen table, the only noise coming from a squawking bluetooth speaker set next to the microwave. It wasn’t her preferred choice of listening to music, but beggars couldn’t be choosers when it came to the furnishings of a given apartment. One day maybe she’d go out and buy a record player, but that would require having the vinyls, and all hers were an ocean away. The last thing she expected was a knock at the door, she thought she’d been discreet when entering the building, but maybe it was just a lucky guess.
The chain took a moment to slide off the door before she could open it and greet the last person that she wanted to see. She laced her fingers behind her back, a wholly unnatural movement that had the sole purpose of keeping her bruised wrists out of sight. A smarter girl would have worn long sleeves, a smarter girl wouldn’t have answered the door for the one person who couldn’t see what happened.
“I don’t remember telling you my apartment number.” She hoped her voice sounded lighter than it felt in her chest. It was supposed to be a joke, if she could just convince herself of it. “But- come in.”
I don’t make the rules-- @saiichii has been adopted by one(1) tiny grandbun who’s gonna spoil the ever loving heck outta this smol child and probably watch him outgrow him in height (not that it’s hard, he’s only like 4 inches taller than Hiro to begin with) and gonna be SO PROUD OF HIM ALWAYS??? Excuse him, he’s having a moment. He needs a another new heart asap ‘cause his has just MELTED FOR ONE WHOLE EXCITED ADORABLE BEAN NAMED HIRO!! Rest in pieces, Seb, you never stood a chance.

A week. He’s been here a week and he wonders why he hasn’t fixed the damn thing yet. It’s a quiet realization, a soft click in his bicep after some poor woman brushed against his shoulder-- he knows it’s about to fall. The rabbit appendages atop his head twitch in annoyance, he should’ve made time to fix the damn port but well, he’d been too busy running business meetings and prosthesis trials. Green hues shift, a scrawl of code across them before he settles his gaze on a younger looking lad. Public transport was a fickle thing, he wasn’t entirely sure what would freak someone out but-- the younger ones often found it more fascinating than frightening and with his hands occupied with materials he wasn’t sure what else to do. Risk letting it all clatter to the floor or ask someone to pop his arm back into its port-- it was an obvious choice.
“Excuse me, kid. Could you do me a favour?” He tilted his head towards his bicep, a clear gap between his prosthetic and it. “Could ya just kind of put it back in the port? I need to fix it later but I’ve got my hands full at the moment.” Hell the only reason it was still ‘upright’ was because the grip he’d had on the materials was still there. A conscious effort between the chip and his prosthesis. Beyond that gap though, it was almost entirely indistinguishable from the rest of him. A perfect match in colour and size, even holding similar scars from fights as though it was flesh healed.
