Okay guys hear me out - Pierre is a werewolf and Esteban comes from a long line of werewolf hunters and when they learn this in childhood the friendship is is deeply fractured! Charles never quite understands what happened because he doesn't know Pierre is a werewolf!
But Lance is ALSO a werewolf and gradually he and Esteban fall in love and Esteban has to renounce his lineage and it puts him on the outs with his family which is devastating for him but like, Lance.
And then, Lance goes missing! And despite Pierre's suspicion that Esteban must be involved, Esteban turns up looking for Pierre's help. He's desperate, afraid maybe his family did something, but Lance's transformations have also been more intense and he's worried about that, too.
So Pierre tentatively agrees to help and he has to finally tell Charles what's going on and the two of them and Esteban go on a rescue mission that takes them to unlikely places!
