Cool air nipped at the warm cheeks of the tall fellow, he sat down on a bench sipping at his hot latte as the girl mentioned about being around him just being better. Sebastian couldn’t help but chuckle at the comment. “Good one. I actually haven’t heard that one before.” He lowered his head, embarrassed slightly, he knew he was an asshole and unpleasant to be around at times. But hey, he had a heart and sometimes it took that one special person to bring out the good in him; that just so happened to be Marley.

So when he turned over and looked at the girl, a hand went to her face and brushed back golden brown locks. “What I mean to say is…thank you. I appreciate you saying something so kind.” And it was the truth, it was nice hearing kind words for a change.

“What do you want?” Sebastian groaned and assumed it was another intruder that likes to keep him from sleeping, “Bet you’re really funny. Now fuck off and lemme sleep,” When he heard someone softly crying he rolled his eyes far back and rolled to the other side, “Look, if you’re going to cry to make me believe that-” He stopped when he looked at the face of a small, slender girl. “Fuck Marley, I didn’t know it was you!” He breathed and sat up immediately in my bed, “Some people like to prank me in the middle of the night... you know how they are. Hence I love my sleep so much... Fuck Marley, look I’m sorry okay, come on here,” and patted on his bed to sit on and ran fingers through his hair. Thinking of another way to apologize. “Why are you here though? You know you aren’t allowed to-”

When Sebastian heard what was going on, he just nodded, “You’re one heck of a brave girl. You walked all the way up here to see me, because you had a nightmare and... you’re here now. You’re safe.” He laid down and patted on the empty space on the other side of his bed, “I make sure you’re safe. Now for the rest of the night, you’re going to sleep here with me. I don’t care what they have to say and what rules they think they got on us.”

Sam pulled away from Sebastian to avoid his attempt at a kiss and looked around the crowded bar. “In front of everybody?” Sure, Sam’s mere presence at Scandals would be a huge hint to anyone who knew of the visit that he wasn’t exactly straight as an arrow, but he wasn’t ready to remove all doubts and risk his reputation by making out with Sebastian on the dance floor, not when they were barely just friends and Sebastian obviously only had one thing on his mind. “You haven’t even taken me out on a real date, dude. You’re gonna have to try way harder than this.”

Marley gave Sebastian a dead stare. “That’s not the type of advice you’re supposed to give, doofus. You’re supposed to say I’m a strong independent woman who doesn’t need a man.” Marley’s engagement and future marriage to Mike was falling apart and it mostly felt like her fault. While she knew Sebastian was likely only telling her what she needed to hear, she wanted to believe, if only for a moment, that she was making the right decisioin.
