Too late he realizes that he’s missed his chance to take the cowardly way out by turning around and walking away, pretending to not have seen Roque.
(Though of course - that would be impossible. For better or worse, Sebas has always seen Roque.)
Roque's voice is low and soft, yet it still cuts through the room, demanding Sebas' attention. Slowly, hesitantly, Sebas looks up at Roque.
Sebas bites down hard on his lip. Roque's gaze is hard and unwavering, silently asking Sebas a question they both know he'll never answer honestly.
And Sebas wants to laugh bitterly, because isn’t it just ironic? Thoughts of Roque have been plaguing him all night, and yet here Roque is, silently asking him what’s wrong. He wants to shake Roque, demand that he get out of his head right now, that his touch stops haunting him. He wants to punch him for being everything that Sebas can never be, will never allow himself to be. And he wants to grab Roque’s face, forcing him to look at him, really look at him, before he-
Instead, he shakes his head almost imperceptibly.
