A/N: sorry for my lack of posting. Been lacking inspiration, or any excitement to write. But I've been trying.
This is where this next Moments with Sebastian comes in. I love the Deathday party room. And was inspired haha.

Previous: Moments #1
After conjuring you flowers in detention, Sebastian tried to confess his feelings to you. But every time he went to, someone would interrupt or you had rush off, like on some quest. It was beginning to frustrate him. And Omnis wasn’t helping, telling him to just do it already. Which he retorted I am trying, alright!? They bickered like an old married couple over it. Though Omnis has his reservations about you still, he wouldn’t stop his friend being happy with you.
Walking the halls, with the prospect of going back to the Slytherin common room, Sebastian just happened to see you rush by. And with the empty halls, this made it the best time to finally speak with you. So off he went, following you and was about to call out to you but when you began to head down to the dungeons, his interest was piqued. Sebastian kept quiet and decided to follow you, down halls and odd places before coming to a part of the Castle he had not entirely explored.
He watched as you stopped by an old iron bar door, and with a flick of your wand while saying Alohomora there was a click and it was unlocked. You proceeded to remove the lock, before the iron bar door lifted, then disappearing from Sebastian’s sight.
This was new to Sebastian, you casting Alohomora to enter areas you weren’t supposed to. That was his thing. But being around him had rubbed off on you. Sebastian quietly moved to the iron door, quietly waiting for it to lift before moving in, and waiting for it to close behind him. He was greeted to a hallway, with unkempt walls and lined with candles. The soft light guiding his way.
If it had been anyone else, they would have been terrified of the spooky hall, and what could lay a head. And Sebastian was a little put off, yet you willingly went down to wherever it led. Taking a deep breath, to push down the unease, and proceeded to walk down the hall.
Sebastian noted – as he walked from the narrow hallway into a larger section – that this part of the Castle didn’t get used much. And from the lock that had been on the door, it might have been off limits. Noticing a door, he moved over to it but from behind it he could hear music?
Pushing the door open, to the right was an array of objects stacked or covered up by cloth and coated in dust. And to the left, between the archways, he could see tables and chairs. But also ghosts? And they were dancing?
With a cautious – yes curious – step, Sebastian steps through one of three archways, greeted to the sight of ghosts actually dancing. Along with many around the room in various levels of conversation. The music filled the room, along with many candles floating above. It seemed like a dream, could it be? Did he fall over and knock himself out?
But then Sebastian saw you, sitting at one of the tables – in a beautiful dress, which he had failed to notice when he first saw you – you were watching those dancing. You smiled softly, content in this moment which Sebastian felt like he was intruding on. Just then you turned in his direction, and then surprised crosses your face. But once you recovered you wave him over.
Feeling like a child who had been caught doing something they shouldn’t, Sebastian shuffled over to you, taking the seat across from you. You smiled softly, yet were confused to what he was doing here. And you indeed voice this to the brunette before you.
Sebastian laughed nervously. “Ah yes...well, I saw you in the halls. And I was going to call out to you, but you seemed to be in a hurry? So I followed you, intrigued to find out where you were disappearing off too...”
You smiled sheepishly at his explanation. “Oh...I see”.
A small awkward silence filled the air between you both, while the Ghost party continued around you. You both looked as a couple floated around past you both, a gleeful laugh coming from the pair. Which made you smile warmly. This had become a regular thing for you. Taking time to sit and enjoy the ghostly party, even putting on a dress to feel apart of it. Though you never would, while living at least.
“They all seem to be having fun" Sebastian commented, gaze moving from the dance floor back to you.
You nodded. “Yes they are. Perks of being a ghost, endless parties and free time".
Sebastian chuckle. “Sound’s appealing. Imagine the places we could get to, without stepping on any toes".
You laughed, holding a hand up over your mouth. “Yes, the concept of being a ghost does have some benefits" – you paused for a moment, smiling wavering – “Yet there is so much I want to do, while living, that being a ghost right now would hinder many of my plans".
Sebastian was the one to nod then. “But of course, so best to leave the dead to the dead then...”
Once more you laughed at his words, making his stomach flip. The way you laughed so freely and happily with him, it made Sebastian want nothing more then to be silly every waking moment around you.
As your laugher died down, you turned your gaze back to the ghosts dancing. That soft smile returning. Slowly the wheels in Sebastian’ head began to turn, it all making sense. If you couldn’t dance with them due to your living statues, you just needed a flesh and blood partner.
Hesitantly, Sebastian moved his chair out before getting to his feet. The whole time you were watching the ghosts. But when a hand was held out before you, you finally followed the arm back to its owner, Sebastian. You looked to him in confusion, but he moved his hand toward you, encouraging you to take it.
“May I have this dance?” He managed to get out with minimal shakiness to the words. A worried smile on his face, at the possibility of rejection.
Yet it all left him the moment you placed your hand in his. The shared warmth and softness of your skin helping Sebastian relax. He helped you from your seat, before leading you to the middle of the dancefloor. The ghosts around you watching on in intrigue. Yet you both were focused on the other.
Mirrored were your racing hearts, and clammy hands. The nervous smiles and giggles from you both. You were the one to move your free hand to rest cautiously on Sebastian’s shoulder, taking a moment to make sure it was alright for your hand to be there. Next Sebastian moved his free hand to your waist, he too being cautious.
With the next rise in tempo, Sebastian lead you into a simple dance. At first you were both unsure and out of time, occasionally stepping on the others feet. The ghosts around you laughing at you both. But after a few full rotations of steps you both relaxed, steps becoming smoother.
For Sebastian, he felt on cloud nine, being close to you and holding on to you, it was a dream. For you this felt exactly like a dream. Being asked to dance by the boy you were crushing on, yet were friends with. In this moment, feeling almost like a Princess.
Moving around the dancefloor, the ghosts around you applauded or gave you words of encouragement. Though neither of you or Sebastian noticed. You were both fixed on the dance moves, as well as each other. The way you looked at the boy before you, warmly smiling. While Sebastian looked down at you with one of his charming smiles. Both smitten by the other.
Finally the music began to come to an end, and with it your dance. When the final steps and music ended, you stood before the other. A brief moment to grasp what just happened. And just like that, Sebastian stepped back with a cheeky smile. He then dramatically bowed.
You snickered before following him. And you over the top curtsied, each hand holding the skirt of your dress and flourish it about. Sebastian laughed, a little snort at the end, enjoying how well you join in with his foolishness.
Then it hit him. This was the moment, the perfect moment. The warm and fuzzies seem to be washed away, leaving nothing but nerves. Which you seemed to pick up on it after straightening back up. You gave him a worried look, but remained quiet.
Taking a deep breath, Sebastian did his best to calm his racing heart. But looking at you made it impossible to calm it. At first there was stuttering and some sputtering from him. And he cursed himself for tripping over his words. What drove him to finally speak up was a floating by ghost who said spit it out boy!
“I-I like you!” Exclaimed Sebastian, before realising what he’d just done.” “O-oh good lord. How stupid I must sound, or weird!”
Poor Sebastian stood there, flustered as he came to terms with this moment. A moment he wish had gone better. As everything leading up to his confession was perfect.
“You like me? No, it’s not weird! I do it too. Liking me. N-no, I mean liking you!” You stumbled out, getting words mixed up and feeling foolish. You placed your hands over your face and sighed in embarrassment.
Sebastian smiled at you, seeing how foolish you both were, struggling with your words. You were absolutely cute. But then a few words you had said finally hit him. You liked him back!
“Y-you like me back...” he said a little dumbfounded.
You moved your hands from your eyes, looking him dead in the eyes before nodding. Not trusting the words that would come out of your mouth.
The smile returned on Sebastian’s face, though this time it beamed brighter. He stepped up to you, his hands moving to remove yours and hold them, as he continued to look at you.
You were both still standing in the middle of the dancefloor, and many of the ghosts were grumbling, even if you both weren’t technically in the way. But right now all you both focused on was the other. Finally you both knew how the other felt.
Sebastian moved a hand to cup your cheek, before bashfully moving in to place a soft, tender kiss to your lips. Surprised for a moment, you recovered and returned the kiss. You could hear some gasps and soft cheers from the ghosts around you. But neither of you cared.
This moment was yours. The start of many more to come.
A/N: I started playing Hogwarts Legacy again, and Sebastian still has a hold on me. So I decided to write a little something for him, while still working on my other stuff haha.
Its not perfect, or might not fit into the timeline or the school schedule (?), if that makes sense 😅 But with Valentines Day's next week, I wanted to post some related fics haha. Feel free to request any Valentines fics 😊
I also have a follow up story for this coming out soon 😊
Warning/s: possible spelling/grammer mistakes
All the running around at all hours of the night finally caught up to you and Sebastian. For the previous night, after leaving the Undercroft and both of you were headed back to your rooms, you were found by Professor Sharp. It was a shock to cross paths, for he was the one Professor you didn’t expect to run into the Halls above the Dungeons.
The Professor was almost as surprised as you both, but he had run into his fair share of students over the years. Right away he had given you both a week’s detention with him in the evenings after dinner. With that, you both scurried off, not wanting to get in any more trouble.
It was night three of detention, and there you both sat across the room from each other writing lines while Professor Sharp sat at his desk. You were a little deflated – sad to be missing out on the small festivities for Valentines Day. Throughout Hogwarts this evening groups were giving flowers and candy, maybe even trinkets with more meaning to a special someone. You had watched throughout the day as young women received gifts, but knew many would receive more tonight, when at the small gatherings.
You were a little sad because you hadn’t received a gift today, nor would you tonight, being in detention. Omnis and Sebastian had you briefly speak on your woes earlier today. Both a little surprised for your lack of suitors. Though one of them was relieved that no one had given you any gifts. For he was trying to work up the courage to give you some flowers.
Sebastian had a crush on you. The one person who listened to him, could see his side on matters that Omnis always discouraged or outright disagreed with. When you showered up this year, Sebastian wasn’t so sure on you. But after talking to you, learning about you, he saw something in you that he liked. Maybe it was part of himself. And with time – time around you, it grew to something more.
That was why he wanted to give you flowers, and finally tell you how he felt. But you were both stuck in detention due to wrong place and time the other night. Looking up from under his lashes Sebastian thought it was cute how you were half concentrating on the lines. Noticing how you wriggled your nose, or how you chewed your bottom lip. Not to mention when you took a brief pause, that you would tilt your head in thought, before snapping out of it and getting back to the lines. To him you were adorable.
But the next time you paused, the look on your face was sombre. From a mix of the dreary Dungeons and lack of a Valentine, he thought. If only he had been brave enough to give you flowers earlier, and spoke to you, maybe you would be happier right now. That was when the wheels in Sebastian’s head began to turn, a plan taking form.
You were oblivious to your friend and his thoughts across the room. Though your thoughts were almost parallel to his. Thinking about how you should have spoken up today, finally tell Sebastian how you have a crush on him. Neither knowing it had been the elephant in the room for months now. Though Omnis could see it, and he was blind. Spending time together really shone a light on how alike you both are, and how easy it was to talk to each other. Not to mention when Sebastian smiled – especially at you – it almost had you in a puddle of goo.
There was a darkness to him, but there was one to you too. And you put it down to this ability of yours, seeing Ancient Magic. Or were you just dark all along? You are unsure, and only time would tell which way you would go. But with Sebastian, you wanted the best for him. And would be there at his side for whatever he does or chooses. You had made that decision early on, when he listened to you and wanted to help you with this ability.
Before starting lines, Professor Sharp had you and Sebastian set up the potion stations for his morning class. So you had to make sure the cauldrons were clean, as well as set up racks with various size beakers, which will hold various liquids. It was the next time you paused, looking at the stations set up when it happened. In the tallest, yet not overly wide beaker, did some water begin to form. Swirling into existence, before from that liquid – from small seeds – did something begin to grow.
You looked to the Professor, who had his back to you both now, moved to writing on his blackboard. Looking back to the beaker with mild alarm, what took form set you at ease, even warmed your heart. A beautiful, small bouquet of various flowers sat there in that liquid in the beaker. Your favourite flowers mixed with filler flowers. Reaching a hand out, you touched a petal with your fingertip. It felt soft, like it was still in the ground. But then you looked confused, wondering whom they came from.
Obviously not your Professor, which meant one other person in this room. Looking across the room your gaze met that of Sebastian’s. A warm smile on his face, as he had been watching your reaction to his little conjured gift. Slowly the smile returned to your face, lighting up your face and warming Sebastian from making you happy.
‘Thank you' you mouthed, knowing he would understand.
With his smile growing wider, and a warmth growing on his cheeks, Sebastian waved it off playfully. Glad to have lifted your spirits. And encouraging him to next time tell you exactly how he felt. Even if you thought he did it as a friend, he very much wanted to be more then that with you...
Warnings: sad! Okay kind of suicidal on Sebastian part, death, my hate for Solomon sallow.
Y/n looked between Sebastian’s uncle and Sebastian worried in her eyes- she knew Sebastian going down this path was going to be bad but she couldn’t help but always be by his side. She was in love with the brut. She would do absolutely anything he asked- which scared her but she couldn’t help it. Sebastian- despite going down the wrong path was loving and deeply caring. Y/n watched the pair her palms becoming sweaty as she saw the two fight. She never really liked Solomon, yes she knew he was right about the dark magic but the way he treated Sebastian always made her upset. It didn’t make sense to her why Solomon couldn’t understand the love Sebastian had for his twin.
“Sebastian! You better stop this at once!” Solomon yelled keeping his wand up. “Or you’ll leave me no choice.” Sebastian glared at his uncle keeping his wand up.
“Leave you no choice to what?” Sebastian sneered- Solomon grunted.
“You want so badly to know about the unforgivable curses? This is the only way Sebastian!” Solomon said in a sad tone- which made y/n heart pound. No- he couldn’t. “Only way to know you’ll stop.” Solomon moved his wand and she recognized that wand movement. No- “Avada Keda-“ as he was speaking that and pointed it to Sebastian- she felt like life around her went slow and her legs started moving in front of Sebastian pushing him out of the way; the spell hitting her- her body going limp. Sebastian fell on the ground when she pushed him out of the way- his eyes widen as he looked to where she went- and that’s when she saw her body limp and not moving. His breath hitched and couldn’t breath- his eyes fogging up with tears.
“Y-Y/n.” He stuttered crawling over to her limp body- he leaned over her grabbing a hold of her cheeks and moving her dead body against him. “No wake up please.” He voice shock and the tears dripped down his cheeks. “Come on please d-don’t.” He held her tight to his chest cradling her- hoping just hoping she would wake up. “I love you please-“ Sebastian suddenly felt anger well up in his chest- he slowly looked up to see the shock on his uncles face and the shiver in his hand. Sebastian clenched his jaw before grabbing his wand pointing it at him. “Fuck you- Avada Kedavra!” The curse came out of his wand hitting Solomon in the chest- his body hitting the ground with a thud. Sebastian didn’t care; his eyes were dark as he watched his uncle die in front of his eyes. He dropped his wand from his hand- the piece of wood rolling away from him as he turned his attention back on her, the warmth of her skin draining. Sebastian cradled her close again as he sobbed into her neck wanting her back, needing her back.
“S-Seb.” He heard the voice of his sick sister say- he lifted his eyes up to look at Anne. She was confused- she looked around the room to see Solomon dead on the floor and the woman in his arms that he swore he would do anything for. “What happened?” She choked out moving her way close to Sebastian.
“Stay away please.” Sebastian choked out. “He killed her- h-he was going to kill me but she saved me. S-she.” Sebastian couldn’t get a full sentence out without crying. He loved her- and he was going to hate himself everyday for getting her involved, for not telling her that he loved her. “Anne- I want her back.” Anne rushed over to Sebastian side holding him close as he cried into y/n neck. “I love you y/n I’m so sorry. I’m sorry.”

Sebastian sat at the great hall head in his hands- he hasn’t been able to sleep, eat or barely function. He didn’t feel whole without her and it gnawed at him. She was perfect, she was the Hogwarts fuckin hero, not only that she was the one Sebastian has ever truly loved. He would’ve done anything for her and he hated himself everyday that he got her into his mess- if he didn’t he would be the one dead not her.
“Sebastian did you listen to what I said?” Ominis asked- as he continued to eat his meal. Sebastian looked over at Ominis chewing on his bottom lip.
“Huh?”
“Mate- you’ve gotta eat something.” Ominis sighed pushing Sebastian a plate of toast- that did not sound amazing at the moment. Sebastian pushes it away.
“Not hungry.” He mutters before pushing himself away from the table ignoring the comments from Ominis. Sebastian decided to go to y/n favorite spot in the castle. The astronomy tower. She often would just sit and watch the sky with her telescope, or she would just sit and enjoy. Especially after the passing of fig- she was always up here trying to ignore the sorrys from everyone around her. Now look- Sebastian seems to being do the same but this time he was mourning for her; mourning for her soft skin, her beautiful bright eyes, he missed her nose scrunches and her laugh. God if he can just have one more day with her; he would tell her everything he adored about her. He would tell her he loved her with every ounce of his soul. He leaned against the bars of the tower looking over at the night sky.
“I wish you were here-“ Sebastian felt the tears prickling his eyes- his grip on the railing tightening. “I’m sorry I got you into this mess- you never should have died- it should have been me.” The tears rolled down Sebastian cheeks as he looked up at the beautiful night sky, the wind tossing through his hair. “I wish I got to tell you how much I love you- how much I’ve actually cared for you. Without you here- Hogwarts isn’t the same without your bright presence. I miss my charge- I miss your kindred spirit y/n.” Sebastian fell onto his knees as he continued to sob. Maybe he should just jump off- just end his life so he could forever be with her. Love her like he always intended. No… she wouldn’t want that- she saved him for a reason; to let him start all over again- to become the man she met for the first time. And he was going to do exactly that, he was going to make sure whatever he did was for her- for the love of his life and the only woman he will ever love.
“I’m yours y/n… if you’ll allow me to be and I’ll never find a woman as great as you. I promise- I will be the man you’ve always told me I could be.” He whispered into the night air- knowing she would hear that promise and hear the love he professed to her. He would make it his goal- so she would smile down on him; wherever she was in this world. And she did- she will always be proud of Sebastian Sallow- to man she will always be with in her heart.
