Flower context: the plum blossoms are there bc this is a part of a series I’m planning to make of the sect leaders at the start of the book w each their season, Huaisang is winter. + the irises are there because from what I could find their funerary flowers in some parts of china, and in my family they’re called sword/blade lilies (some places I could find claimed that irises have more uses in Chinese traditions, but I couldn’t find anything written by a Chinese person)
