for @noncommittaltrait‘s SECOND CHANCES CHALLENGE
Tell me a bit about yourself, Quinn.
I hate that question, but I expected it, I guess. I’m a primary care physician at willow creek medical center, most of the time. And when I’m not there, I’m usually baking, or gardening. I like to use fresh fruit in my pies and scones and the like.
Sounds delicious. What about your job? Do you like it? How’d you get into your line of work?
I love it. But uhm. I mean, I was gonna be a nurse, like my mom. But then my sister died and I...yeah. Seemed like people needed someone to heal them and not just push-. You know what? I don’t really want to talk about this anymore.
That’s alright. What about the challenge? You’re pretty young to need a second chance, aren’t you?
I don’t know about that! Everyone’s always learning and growing, so doesn’t that mean we’re all on our second or...third or fourth chance? Especially with love.
Good point. Tell us about your first chance.
Well. I met a guy while i was getting my nursing degree and everything was fine, I guess. But he said he couldn’t handle my, uh...moods. That’s what he called them. The...worse my sister got, the worse they got and then after she died, y’know. But it’s okay! It’s supposed to be for better and for worse, right?
Exactly. Thank you for being open with us, Quinn. This was very insightful. Lastly, tell us what you’re hoping to achieve here.
Exactly what the challenge title says, right? A second chance. Or a first chance, maybe. At something real.
