so the First Citadel, right? got destroyed 1000, maybe 2000 years ago? basically all of recorded history got wrecked along with it, so nobody knows what happened before it
the humans have their three saints, Aaron the Resolute, Damien the Tranquil, and Ferdinand the Brave. they are said to have destroyed the monstrous horde that attacked the First Citadel with divine power
now, i’m not so sure about divinity, but i am thinking about the universe, the Terminus, and the Battle at World’s End
according to what we’ve seen, the universe has its whims, and it is changeable. magic only works sometimes. why is that? it’s because the universe runs on emotion, and the emotional resonator tapped into that in The Lover’s of the Fallen Tower. the emotions there— specifically the love and loss— left a scar on the shores of the Terminus
the tower/shell at the edge of the Terminus is interesting for more reasons than just that scar, although the scar provides a lot of context for those other reasons. one example is Talfryn’s comment that it appeared as if the tower/shell was used extensively (by monsters at least) a thousand years ago, and then it was empty for a while, and then monsters moved in. another oddity is the tapestries. they depict monsters and humans together, living together, building together. the same thing seen in the memories. these memories focus on pix and david. why them? is their love story so compelling, that the universe keeps replaying it over and over again?i don’t think that’s it.
back to the saints for a second, and divinity or lack thereof. humans and monsters are both powerful in different ways, and the humans claimed the saints… but what if their divine power was simply magic from the universe? what if Aaron, Damien, and Ferdinand were half monster, like Olala? what if Pix and David were their parents, and the universe focused on them bc the love of their children was so strong, it immortalized their last moments?
and the terminal tower bridge was destroyed by forces from beyond the falls. is that what the saints fought? this question has yet to be answered, hopefully the upcoming season will be illuminating.
on to The Battle at World’s End. rereading the poem, it seems as though the two giants may represent monsters and humans. they fight at the edge of the world, locked in an eternal battle that neither of them remember beginning. it’s fitting that the setting is the Terminus, on the edge of the known world, and they are battling for an unknown reason.
tldr; humans and monsters are not as different as they would like to think. they are all children of the universe in the end, and the characters’ misconception that they can never live peacefully was birthed by the fall of the First Citadel, aka Fort Terminus.
Eve though the TITLES are references to the actual episode (’Fool in the Garden of Death’, ‘Lovers of the Fallen Tower’, & ‘Devil in the Sunlight’), the NUMBERS dictate what the conflict actually is about/major forces in the episodes.
For example, the numbered cards in the first episode was the High Priestess and the Magician. The Priestess was in reference to Sister Telay, and the magician is The Kite (I believe so, at any rate).
And then in the Lovers of the Fallen Tower, the conflict of the episode was based on the Emperor and the Empress- two cards that are about authority and family relations, and to a degree, society. And also represents Pix and David, and Damien and Arum.
Now, with the latest episode, Devil in the Sunlight, we’re dealing with the Lovers and the Hierophant- which, the lovers being in reference to Quanyii and Sir Caroline....and I have a feeling that the Hierophant is going to be Queen Mira, who represents the core of society, but also who wants to change it.
So yeah.
This may end up being 11 episodes for the Second Citadel? I can’t say for sure regarding Juno Steel, but that may also end up being 11 episodes?
Unless there’s some break in the formula at some point, we’re looking at 11 fucking episodes
Recommend reading that first otherwise this will not make ANY SENSE.
Same warnings of Part 1 still apply, as do the conditions and such. Extremely speculative, and published (1/1/2020)
Note: Purely personal feelings- this second half of the season is going to be SUPER ROUGH.
(Happy new year)
~~~
5 - The Hanged Man, Death, Temperance
The Hanged Man: A statement
Positive: Martyrdom, release, sacrifice
Negative: Needless sacrifice, fear of sacrifice, stalling
Death: Death
Positive: End of cycle, beginnings, Change, Metamorphosis
Negative: Fear of Change, holding on, Stagnation, Decay
Temperance: Pacing
Positive: Middle Path, Patience, finding meaning
Negative: Extremes, Excess, Lack of Balance
Welp.
I’ve said this before, in Part 1, but the Death card is in extreme reference to Olala, and well.
This is going to be an Olala and The Kite focus/centric episode.
This is going to be the episode that we find out what the Kite is going to use her for- or otherwise deliver her to whoever has use for her- and finish whatever is going on with Olala in regards to the death card.
Someone is going to die this episode, I can say that much with confidence and dread.
However, that isn’t to say they’ll stay dead.
6 - The Devil, The Tower, the Star
The Devil: The Darker Inside
Positive: Addiction, Materialism, Playfulness
Negative: Freedom, Release, Restoring Control
The Tower: The Inevitable
Positive: Sudden Upheaval, broken pride, disaster
Negative: disaster avoided, delayed disaster, fear of suffering
Out of all the Arcana, the Tower- across ALL decks - is THE most significant card. It is saying that- no matter what you do, no matter how you prepare, no matter anything else - it is the will of the arcana that what comes will come.
Yeah, it’s worse/more symbolically important than death.
So it’s at this point that our protagonists will face an upheaval not known before in Second Citadel history.
All the personal drama will probably come up at this point - Literally everything - and will hit a breaking point, because, well, the inevitable is coming. This is literally the worst possible time for drama to happen, so of course, in an attempt to retain some form of control, they’re going to take the most likely person to blame and put everything on them, regardless of whether or not they’re at fault.
This is the episode where people have to figure out their shit, and figure out what’s important to them, and I think that it may end up resulting in Sir Caroline considering quitting her Captainship/knighthood. She loves Quanyii, who’s a witch, and like. If something happens to make her realize, no, she actually loves her wife more than her job, I have no doubts in my mind Caroline will leave.
So yeah, this episode will be intense, grab tissues and hydrate.
7 - The Moon, The Sun, Judgement
The Moon: The Unconscious Mind
Positive: Unconscious, illusions, intuition
Negative: Confusion, fear, Misinterpretation
The Sun: The Conscious Mind
Positive: Joy, Celebration, Success, Positiveness
Negative: Sadness, depression, negativity
Judgement: The Choice
Positive: Reflection, Reckoning, Awakening
Negative: Lack of self awareness, doubt, self-loathing
Basically, what happened last episode, happened.
Especially considering the significance of the Sun and Moon in Second Citadel Meta - what with the Moon being more a symbol of things hiding in the dark and still being able to exist, but also a denial of what you really want, but the Sun being known in your entirety, without hiding (which can be pretty terrifying) and should you be unable to handle what you want, can kill you. (Remember the Moonlit hermit? Remember Ernmark making references to how Arum parallels the Moonlit hermit?)
It will be at this point that people will be forced to chose what path to take, what they need to do to be happy
I think here, Marc is going to have to make a decision whether he actually wants to be a knight. I mean, look at what’s going on with Olala; he’s trying to protect her, when his knighthood dictates he should kill her for being...not human.
I mean, it’s the same decision Damien, Angelo, and Caroline have to make for themselves as well, whether they want to continue to be knights, and I bet it will happen this episode.
So like. We’ll see.
8 - The World; Notably the only exception to the Trio Clusters
World: The End
Positive: Completion, Harmony, Fulfillment
Negative: Incompletion, No Closure
Now, this is the end- at least, it should be.
I have no doubt that there’ll be a fourth season of the second citadel, you can quote me on this- there’s too much world for it to go ignored or to end this quickly.
No, see, I think one of two things is going to happen:
Either 1) the East comes into prominence somehow- because of timing or what have you, and there’s going to be conflict about a new society that more or less sprung out of the ground
or 2) The Saints will come back to the world, to try and reunite with their missing sibling.
Either way, it should be interesting, and exciting!
~~
Other things to note for the season:
I think Dampierre will get revealed to be something more than a horse this season, since Marc’s already made a reference in Episode 1 about how Dampierre’s losing their hair and that’s usually a sign of sickness in horses.
I think the Kite will be someone significant to Sir Absolom, and will not excuse but explain some of Absolom’s behavior towards magic and monsters (and Marc).
Finally, this season will be the determining factor as to which brother the Penumbra will set Angelo up with. Because I’ve seen people in the discord and tumblr shipping Angelo/Marc as a romantic pairing, and Angelo/Talfyrn as a queerplatonic pairing, so I’m sure if nothing else, this will be the season which tells us which pairing the penumbra will try and set up. (I’m rooting for Angelo/Talfyrn, personally, but I know it’ll be cute either way, because Angelo is cute.)
Anyway, we’ll see come this year what happens! Take care y’all!
Looks like there’s not going to be that much of a timeskip, at least for Olala to become grown.
Poor Olala, though. She’s trying so hard, but, she doesn’t realize that everyone’s killed, most likely.
Marc likely realizes that the Citadel, for all it’s greatness, would still kill this kid, and, so he believes, Sir Caroline.
Also, want to point out here, Marc’s become a Knight. Which is super great!
I don’t understand why he wouldn’t take Olala to Rilla or Arum or what have you, but he’s tired and had old mango thrown on him, so I don’t blame him for being distracted. I want to mention, I want to know where Tal is. Where’s Tal. Why’s he gone.
What Marc will actually do with Olala, I think he’s going to take them back to his parent’s, just until he can figure something out/get more help.
Now, The Kite.
That’s a title if I ever heard heard one.
Not much to say except, well. The more The Kite is on screen, as it were, the More and More likely the Sister’s are all dead.
Miller likely is going to come up as significant town in the next few episodes, wherever it is in the Wilds.
He’s likely still hunting for Olala- there’s no way he isn’t.
Although, side note- the king tyrant lizard. Why did it go after Olala- moreover, why did it leave the western Wastes?
Actually, I think the entire- Plane? Disk? World? As we know it is going to go through a starvation issue.
There’s some sort of drought or w/e in the Second Citadel, the Wastes might’ve just lost the caretakers of the Fungal trees, which are vitally important to the Wastes for them to survive, and I’m sure the Southern Frosts
If you’ve been reading my thoughts/theories up to this point, well-
Something of a prediction, but I am going to bet two things right now:
1) I bet dollars to donuts that The Tower is likely (at least to the Northerners) the Tower from the First Citadel. Whether or not it’s the Actual Last Tower of the First Citadel is up in the air, at least for me.
2) Come Episode 6, that Knight’s Tower Marc mentioned- possibly the Entire Citadel, given from Marc description of the Craftsman’s quarter, likely the other parts of the Citadel follows suit - might just fall.
Depending on how the cards Fall, of course.
Which I am going to post here! Soon. It’s the week before finals, so things might be a little late.
Season Episode Breakdown for Second Citadel (Part 1)
Based Solely off the poster and speculation thereof.
Thoughts under the cut, whitelist #bleepbloo theories if you’re not interested.
(At this time, 12/8/19, the first episode, ‘The Fool in the Garden of Death, Part 2’ has been released to the public; It will factor into discussion below. Spoilers Ahead, You Have Been Warned)
((Warning: VERY LONG, and has in-universe issues of Second Citadel))
Alright so, as based on the initial poster thoughts and the first episode in it’s entirety has been released, it confirms that we are going to be using the Major Arcana for each of the episodes, and that they will be in clusters of threes, for the most part. I will be analyzing each episode based on the trio presented, what that’ll mean for the episode, as well as the characters that may be highlighted as a result of the conflict presented.
Before I get started, here are some things to keep in mind:
I will be using only one website [here], because there are often minor variations between different Arcana decks that end up giving it different meanings overall; so if you go exploring into Arcana yourself, please note that that’s a thing. Also something to note about major Arcana is that the can represent People as well as Significant Issues in your Life. I won’t be listing the full meaning for each card, as that’s going to make this MUCH longer than I know it’s going to be; I will be listing the BASIC positive(Upright), negative(Reversed), and general concepts behind each card, just so you don’t have to look up the full meaning. As a result, I’m going to be splitting my analysis in half due to sheer length it would be otherwise.
With all that mind let’s get started:
1- The Fool, The Magician, and the High Priestess
Fool: The Day Dreaming Adventurer
Positive: New Beginnings, innocence, free spirit
Negative: Recklessness, inconsideration, taken advantage of
Negative: repressed feelings, lost inner voice, lack of center
So, I know this episode has aired already, but it’s worth going over, if only we have an established base.
The sister’s at the garden of Death are probably dead. Marc realizes this, even if Olala doesn’t/can’t consider it - which, give her a break, she’s apparently like, 9 - and this thus has led Marc to try and figure out where to put her to hide, if only to buy more time.
In terms of representation, I’m sure Sister Teele(Tile? Tealy? IDK how to spell her name, going to call her Sister Mom) is(was) meant to represent the High Priestess, considering she’s meant to see between the spirits, and the should, will and could happen.
I’m less sure if Marc’s meant to represent the Magician or if the Kite is, simply because they use different tool sets of mechanical vs. magical.
(Side-note, but I do think it’s interesting that their titles as ‘creatures’ - with Marc being a Salamander and The Kite being The Kite - seem to signal to others that they are in some way associated with magic. Even though Marc’s only NOW gotten personally involved with Magic through Arum, he has known Rilla, who’s an exile for ‘magic’, even though she’s been unexiled through new laws, in comparison to the Kite, who’s very clearly a Witch. I absolutely do think we’re about to get some foiling regarding The Kite and The Salamander.)
((Also, semi-unrelated, regarding the bird to the East turning people into stone, and The Kite being disappointed that that isn’t true and that “it’s just an old wive’s tale” - if that ISN’T CLEARLY FORESHADOWING the OPPOSITE to become true hopefully proven by someone from the East I will eat my goddamn pajamas.))
Here’s something I am sure of though; the more we see of the Kite on-screen, the more I’m sure that all 20 of the Sisters are dead.
I’d be more worried if Sister Telay was alive, however, because that means The Kite- whoever he is- is going to be using her to some end. The same as with the rest of them, if they’re still alive.
According to some research, however, The Kite apparently references a bird of prey- a hunter, which, y’know, explains the Axe of Wilds. Four of Wastes may be where Marc tries to take Olala, but then, they will encounter the Kite?
Really, it depends on where Marc decides to take her.
Something that continuing to worry me however, is the Death card that keeps popping up- because that is the card of Death, make no mistake - is a signal that something is going to end.
However, the Death card originally showed up when Olala asked what is her place in the universe; the Death card is in reference to /her/. The fact that, even now, when she has clearly escaped it (at least for the moment), doesn’t bond well for her survival overall.
Here’s something interesting, regarding the Fool card of our deck. It’s not necessarily a numbered card- it can show up anywhere in the deck, in theory. In some decks, it shows up at the beginning; other times, it shows up after the World card, signalling the start of a new beginning, even after the end.
Let that sink in. Let also sink in the knowledge that Olala- both in title, in name, and in her personality - is meant to be our “Fool”.
So I mean, I’m not saying Olala’s going to end up becoming a sacrifice to renew some cycle, but it’s not outside of the realm of possibility either. The universe CLEARLY has something in mind for her, something involving death (or if nothing else an ending) and thus a new beginning, but what it is, is hard to say at this point.
It is absolutely easy to say at this point, however, is that if Olala permanently dies, everyone’s going to ****ing riot.
Positive: Fatherhood, Authority, Structure, Control
Negative: Tyranny, Rigidity, Coldness
Hierophant: The Core Society
Positive: Tradition, Conformity, Morality, Ethics
Negative: Rebellion, Subversiveness, New Approaches
Here we get more into authority figures of the Arcana, and thus the society itself; the base of foundations that hold up any society. The mother, the father, and the society that binds us. Something I do believe we’re going to be seeing in this of episode are the parents of some of our Crew, as well as folks who have influenced them- like in Damien’s and Angelo’s Case, Sir Absolom, their mentor of knighthood.
If this isn’t the episode we meet Sir Absolom, I’ll be surprised. I’m also hoping that this is the episode where we find out how Marc got his Knighthood title, and whether Talfryn is a knight as well, since...well, given what we know about Marc’s fears regarding Tal leaving, and Tal worried about not being wanted in addition to knowing he doesn’t want to be a knight, I’m more than a touch worried about their relationship.
We should be able to explore - for whatever reason - why the Citadel is struggling through a shortage. I don’t know whether it’s a drought or what have you, but they’re clearly going through something, and as much as Mira can read, if you’ve never gone through a shortage before, things get rough quickly. Given Queen Mira is most likely meant to represent the Empress, well, she’s likely experiencing the more negative connotations of the card at the moment. I doubt a new solution will come quickly, if at all, and we’re going to be left uneasy just like in the first episode.
Which is going to be interesting, especially considering the Second Citadel’s whole thing about ‘Unity’ and how it’s all about the community versus personal desires.
Now, there’s likely going to be a rebel force that forms, maybe to oppose the Queen, because if people are hungry and angry, they’ll listen to anyone with influence that will promise them some food and protection and guidance, if the one currently providing isn’t doing that good of a job; which then ties back to the Hierophant, the society at large
Now, the question becomes this: who’s going to represent the Emperor?
At first glance and thought, you think it’s going to be Sir Absolom, but while I think there’s some basis for it, I actually think it’s going to be Damien’s Father. After all, when things are hard, people go to church and listen to the priest. And Damien’s Father is a noted missionary, and if nothing else, a FIRM believer in the Saints and their messages. If there isn’t some conflict between Damien and his Father regarding the messages of the Saints, especially when it comes to monsters, I will eat my pajamas.
So, to sum up: The episode is going to deal with authority figures, and them dealing with the conflicts that come up as a result of this shortage, as well as the power conflicts between the Empress and Emperor, as well as the overall society at large; when people are hungry, they get angry, and start looking towards anyone that’ll promise change.
3 - The Lovers, The Chariot, Strength
Lovers: Those we value
Positive: Partnerships, Duality, Union
Negative: Loss of balance, one-sidedness, disharmony
The Chariot: Movement
Positive: Direction, Control, Willpower
Negative: Lack of control, Lack of Direction, aggression
Strength: What lies inside
Positive: Inner strength, Compassion, Focus
Negative: Self-Doubt, Weakness, Insecurity
Something to note about the Lovers card; it does represent the traditional meaning of Lovers, but also represents close relationships in general. Like a sibling/friendship bond, like Tal and Marc, or Marc and Rilla, or Sir Caroline and Angelo, or Sirs Damien and Angelo. However, this is going to be a Sir Caroline/Quanyii and a Rilla/Damien/Arum episode for sure
Also, I know we’ve had that whole arc about Damien growing and maturing, but like. He’s still got a long way to go to being a better person, or if not a better person necessarily, then at least to try and recognize his flaws to be an even better person. As with Sir Angelo, Sir Caroline, Talfryn, Rilla, Arum - everyone’s got shit to work on.
The road to being a better person is recognizing flaws, and trying to improve, even if you fail a lot of the time.
Plus, Rilla and Damien, for all that they love and respect and prioritize each other, haven’t talked about what they want 1) for their marriage or 2) what they want their wedding to be like. Also, now there’s also Arum to consider, and what he wants from the relationship, is another added factor
It’s not a bad thing, it’s just another voice in the conversation; the bigger issue is that Rilla and Damien haven’t talked about it at all, so Arum’s just going to be- thrown into the ring as it were.
Which kind of sucks for Arum, considering he’s been I.D.’d as a hermit, by Helicoid “...then there are solitary beasts like that..(sounds of disgust)..Lizard and his House (The Hallowed Hall’s of Helicoid Part 2)” and Ernmark’s analysis (here).
I think we’re going to the inner strength of Talfryn and Marc come to something of a resolution regarding their differences, and Talfryn will start to figure out what he wants to do with his life.
I bet we’re going to see some stagnation in some characters, especially Sir Absolom, considering he really doesn’t like Marc.
In Summary: we’re going to get some resolution between Tal and Marc’s relationship, most likely a positive one, but a not so good one between Rilla/Damien/Arum, due to the Arcana of the next episode.
4- The Hermit, The Wheel of Fortune, Justice
The Hermit: The Distance
Positive: Contemplation, search for truth, Inner guidance
Negative: Loneliness, Isolation, Lost your way
The Wheel of Fortune: The Changing Luck and Wheel
Positive: Change, Cycles, Inevitable fate
Negative: No control, clinging to control, Bad Luck
Remember when I said Arum’s the Hermit? This is going to be an Arum focused episode, I can feel it. That being said, if Marc is worried about Arum and Rilla asks, Marc’s probably going to be tailing Arum, and so is Olala.
Remember, the major arcana both events and people, so chances are, Justice is likely to be Sir Caroline. Why she’s following him, i can’t be sure, but clearly, a changing fortune and justice is occurring for Arum. Or something.
I’m going to go out on a limb here, and say that the Kite is a part of the changing fortune, and Olala’s going to get captured by him? It’s a little hard to say at this point what else the changing fortune is.
Still thinking about Olala and the Death card, I worry a little more regarding the ‘inevitable fate’ part of the Wheel of Fortune, especially since (again) Olala is specifically I.D.’d with Death.
In Short: This is going to be an Arum centric/focused episode. Marc will likely be nosy and follow, and because of Sir Caroline or something happening, Olala will fall into The Kite’s greedy, greedy and SUPER murderous hands. Clearly has something in mind for Olala, and boy, that worries me more than anything else.
~~~
That’s it for part 1, will put link to Part 2 [Here], when it’s finished.
Second Citadel: A Fool in the Garden of Death Thoughts
Under the cut\
Ok, so.
For starters, I love Olala.
She’s darling, and she’s definitely meant to represent both the High Priestess and the Fool.
I am a little worried about the Skulls and bones, especially since we don’t know what it’s supposed to look like? It could easily be Death, but I am a little concerned that was the universe’s answer to her question was that card.
It’s not inherently bad? Death is meant to represent ends, yes, but also new beginnings; of one door closing and another opening. After all, you cannot have life without death and death without life. All about the balance.
Which is unfortunate for our little Westerner, but, life happens as it does.
The bigger question is, WHEN is this story taking place?
I’ve got a very basic timeline of the Second Citadel story line landscape:
3,000 years ago: 1st Citadel fell, most of the world’s history is lost
2,000 years ago: Monsters start to re-establish math
1,000 years ago: 2nd Citadel was first established
“Second Citadel’s Second Season”: “Present”/The latest festival of 3
Now, I don’t think this is taking place 3,000 years ago; too much was lost
Nor do I think it was 2,000 years ago, because it seems like monsters are more or less ahead of the curve of humans at least as far as society goes? Though I do think they’ve stagnated with the creativity and ‘no-voice-shall-be-silenced’ bit. That’s a topic for a different day.
Best guess is that it’s somewhere between 1,000 years ago when the Second Citadel was first established (given that Sister Tibel(idk how to spell her name), still calls it the Northern Wilds, and didn’t say anything about the Second Citadel, though it can be explained as a Second Citadel Quirk), and the current ‘Present’ time of the Second Citadel.
It would certainly explain some of the relations (or lack thereof) between the lands.
Alternatively, this could’ve taken place a long time before the First Citadel ever fell, but it still needs to tie in to the original cast somehow, because, well, we care about them! We want to know how they’re doing.
Overall though, very interesting world-building, very excited to see little Olala’s journey to the East.
So, to start off with- I’m technically wrong in that it’s going to be three cards per episode. It’s going to be two officially, not counting the Fool card.
I sort of realized it with the @rillaofexile speculation, but the Fool card - or the person - can show up at any point in the deck, because you can always start somewhere new. Which, given that I think the bat-thing is Olala(? Unless Arum made a new creature), we’re probably going to see her this episode. Which means we’re going to see Marc, and - hopefully - Talfryn! So I’m going to say I’m technically wrong, but practically right in spirit. I’m also going to have to edit my expectations for the season, but I’m going to wait on that until we get our poster for the 3rd ep., because i don’t want to have to do it a third time, and by that point, we’ll have a better idea of the season and what it’ll be like.
Now, while I do think we’re also going to be seeing Arum, Damien, and Rilla this episode(if those tiny figures are them- I could also see Caroline, Quan-yii, and Angelo), I don’t think the ‘Lovers’ are referring to them? Arum is of Titan’s blooms, Damien is a Knight of the Crown, and Rilla is the exile.
Instead, I think it’s going to be referring to whoever lived in that tower - those are the two that are going to represent the emperor and the empress, whoever they were.
Also, I wanted to address a theory going around where the tarot cards numbers are in reference to the “in-universe”
To which I want to say....Maybe? But I’m rather doubtful, if only because, Olala and Sister Teallay (whom in all speculation henceforth shall be dubbed Sister Tea, because I have no idea how to spell her name(not a patron)) did not mention any sort of numbers associated with the card? Also, we don’t have the full “deck” as it were, and even if we did, what their symbols might not transfer over into what we think of when we think of said things. Point being- I’m still going off of what our major arcana is, because based the styling of the ‘posters’ and the characters involved, it’s clear that they’re trying to establish some sort of parallel here. I mean, the Kite’s the magician, Sister Tea is the High Priestess, we’re going to see an emperor and an empress next episode - I don’t think that the cards are referring to our cast at this point, but to other characters we’re going to see this season.
Which, i think we’re going to see a DIFFERENT set of lovers in the episode after this one. And I’m getting INCREASINGLY worried about the ever-expanding number of towers we’re getting this season, ESPECIALLY if the Tarot trend continues, because at some point, we’re getting that Tower card, and something is going to Fall. And a tower only has truly fallen when it’s gone, I don’t care if it’s being called a Fallen tower.
As a final note- the location of the tower has to be at the edge of the world. And if it’s not Quanyii there, who’s trying to find some monster parts, it’s Rilla, who wants to find out what happened to Pix and David all those years ago. (which @ernmark already mentioned.)
So Td;lr: Olala good. Expanding the world and cast is great. A fallen tower that can be still recognized as a tower, is a tower that can fall further.
