food journal: Hopkinton State Fair
breakfast: 1 slice tj's cinnamon swirl raisin bread, 1 banana
snack: raw almonds
lunch: 1 serving each of lemon quinoa pilaf + zucchini-tomato & white cheddar casserole
snack: medjool dates
dinner: fresh Maine lobster, locally farmed yellow corn | unsalted butter & black pepper for dipping
dessert: homemade apple crisp w/ vanilla ice cream (from the fair)
more dessert: 3 deep fried oreos
Okay, so I slipped a bit and bought a second dessert, but hey. I never go to fairs. I never eat deep fried food. I was tempted by SO. MANY. SWEETS. (fudge, cotton candy, fried fruit/veggies/reese's, caramel/chocolate & candy apples, fried dough, fried kool aid, snickers, milky ways, klondike bars, ETC), but I'm super proud of myself for eating (potentially) the healthiest dessert there. My indulgence in the oreos however, is only temporary, and that's how I like it.
Dessert frenzy attempt 1 : a combination of almond with marshmallow and 70% dark chocolate, raspberry sauce, hazelnut, double cream and chocolate cookies crumble sauce, for dessert
ps : it doesn't taste as nasty as it looks...
