Other tumblr jokes are funny because they're essentially call and response rituals; someone starts it, everyone else plays along, we're a collective community of dorks and I wouldn't have it any other way. Thos vanilla extractjokeis just dumb though because it feels like a clout-chasing bandwagon instead of a natural evolution. It feels manufactured, like people are just copying the original rather than paying homage to the collective. Does that make any sense? I don't even really care, I just blocked the keywords "vanilla extract" so these posts wouldn't clog my dash anymore.
