A Chapel on the Edge: St. Maria of the Good in Second Life
High on a bluff, looking out over the water, sits a small Baroque chapel ( ST. Maria of the Good)that feels like it belongs to a story already in progress. I wasn’t looking for a church. But Second Life has a way of putting things in front of you that ask you to stop and notice. St. Maria of the Good is inspired by a real church in Bavaria, and like many places in Second Life it carries more…

WZW Fishing System in Vik Marina
I worked with the maker of the fishing system WZW for enabling fishing in Vik Marina.
This will be the first public fishing spot in Second Norway.
If you don't know WZW fishing System, check out their website here
WZW Fishing system is not a game but a fishing simulator. You have to learn because there are lot of parameter you'll need to adjust depending on the place you are fishing in (sea, river, lake ...) and the kind of fishes you want to catch.
Vik Marina is in Second Norway and has salted water so you can hope to catch some nice salmons .... :)
I did a quick test last night and caught one after a few minutes and quite a nice one : " Caught: Salmon 8.696kg - 19.166lb " !
If you want to fish in Vik Marina, you'll need to rent a fishing license. The reason for this is that WZW System require build permissions in order to rez all your fishing equipment. Since we have lot of traffic around, we have to keep autoreturn active to keep the place clean and enjoyable for all.
By renting a fishing license, you'll get a group invite that will allow you to rez for fishing. When the lease will expire, you'll be removed from the group automatically and remaining objects will be returned to your inventory.
You will find the board with the licenses next to the fishing shack where you can also find the fishing equipment. The shack is located at the NW end of the main wharf
The price for renting a fishing license is 1L$ per hour but if you pay 6L$ you'll get your time doubled :
1 L$ for one hour
2 L$ for two hours
3 L$ for three hours
4 L$ for four hours
5 L$ for five hours
6 L$ for twelve hours
You can extend the license at any time but it can't exceed 24 hours.
Of course, if you are already renting a berth in vik Marina, you do not need the license and can fish freely, just make sure you activate "Vik Marina" group.
