Draco was sat atop Harry’s desk, flowers in hand and waiting for his boyfriend of months to open the doors and walk inside. Except he didn’t. Because knowing Harry James Potter he had forgotten what today was, and how adamant Draco was about spending it together.
Or, Draco supposed as he sagged against his hand, eyes rolling the more he thought about it. What could be keeping Harry from getting here quickly after his lunch break was the hordes of desperate singles chasing the Chosen Boy (or rather man now) down the hallways, proposing their love and their flowers and their chocolates. And if that didn’t make Draco’s teeth grind together-
Because it was all the ministrys fault that now one knew. That no one was allowed to know Saint Potter was his now, no sharing allowed. After a very heated discussion with the Minister about how Harry being in a relationship “with a man or woman,” the Minister said continuously, would affect business and sales and donations. No one wants to see their childhood hero grow up.
Hell, it wasn’t fair. Draco just wanted to spend Valentines day with someone he loved for the first time in well- ever. It wasn’t like they had many days together, between Harry’s volunteering and Draco’s paperwork. So today was even more special than just a romantic holiday.
