(I saw the title from a Midsommar video and thought it fits Secret Keeper/The Watchers perfectly and some more animation practice. Might animate Xenrai shapeshifting again, it's an interesting process. Song name- Leaving for now, Theo Haber)

Super dumb AU idea There's no feud or evilness with the Watchers, Listeners, and Secret Keepers, and stuff. They be chill.

There are 'halfbloods' and 'turneds' but the thing is that with them is that the only difference between them and fullbloods is that they have an easier time hiding among normal players, they are smaller (up until a certain age) and of course they have mortal parents, but eh situations situations.

And Martyn, an older teen Listener, has been sent to find and bring two young hatchlings whose mortal mothers are either dead or not good folks, one is his little (half?) brother and the other is their cousin.

AKA Jimmy and Grian.

Except both of the hatchlings are living on their own and running about and, not knowing that he is a friend, keep evading and escaping him.

AND THEN at some point, a young turned Secret Keeper (Scott) turns up. He was turned after a SK caught wind of the lil unicorn hybrid escaping his shitty guardians and took a fall and sorta remotely turned him so he didn't DIE, but he ran off before they could retrieve him and he was just kinda out there wayward and stuff, and they were looking for him (and this isn't the first or last time a young turned ran off before they could calm him down, you know)

And anyway, Scott runs into the younger two and makes friends with and shares notes on life and Cosmic stuff with em and just. Sticks with em.

And now Martyn has THREE fledglings running away from him!

Or, essentially, Martyn is trying desperately to catch his little brother and cousin (who do not know he is related to them), Grian and Jimmy are very good at running, Scott turned up at some point, and all the kids are menaces.

I like to think that the formula for a watcher and a listener is different from that of grian’s original take since I take a lot of my portrayals from martyn’s eyes and ears au

for example, the watchers can shapeshift, which is exactly why grian is the waffle guy we know and love.

mumbo just so happens to be the secret keeper in my book, because I like the thought of the buttercups meeting up into a trio where there’s input of all sides: watcher, listener, and the keeper.

how does this lead into fluff? cuddle puddle.

someone had a bad breakup? cuddle puddle.

someone kept spelling a word incorrectly? cuddle puddle.

someone screwed up mumbo’s redstone? cuddle puddle.

also, it’s an unspoken rule that mumbo HAS to be on top, scar has to be on the bottom, and grian is sandwiched in the middle for comedic effect.

i like to think that mumbo didn’t even wanna be the secret keeper and the only reasons he’s staying as it are because 1, he’s good at it, and 2, he likes thinking he’s sneaky. bat mumbo my beloved, I’d love to see him sleeping on the ceiling <3333
