#secret magic

A friend of mine had this idea, and I’d love to see it in an urban fantasy: magic is real and it stays secret because it looks like bad CGI. The fakest thing ever.

People who witness magic in person can always have their minds clouded, as they have been for most of human history, but all this newfangled technology has to be handled a different way. A video camera records exactly what it sees.

So, what it sees is … something that looks laughably fake. For any time period. The various secret magicians of the world make a point to keep their spells up to date with the current mundane trends — some of them even have running contests for who can make the most fake-looking spell.

I imagine they have a great time doing it. I sure would.

Merlin is a bad servant, Arthur knows this. He randomly brings in bunches of weeds and calls them bouquets, he sets out potpourri or candles with incense which make his room stink like compost, carves swirly pictures into his bed, table, chairs, and other wooden furniture arguing that they’re decorative, and sews similar shapes into the insides of the hems of his trousers and shirts because “This way you can feel fancy without showing off.”

And then a sorcerer surrenders themselves to Arthur, saying that the protection wards around him are impenetrable for someone wishing him harm, and could he please study under Arthur’s magical protector?

And that was the end of it.

Panic, concern and uncertainty flooded through the crowd of fans and attendees who were escorted out of the venue by security guards and hosts through the front doors. Sirens flashed and bleeped outside while other vehicles revved their engines to head back home. Amongst this crowd, one little brown-eyed girl looked at her mom and asked, "Will he be okay?"

Her brown-eyed mother wiped the tears from her cheeks, bent down to her daughter's level and held her close.

"Let's hope for the best, sweetheart. All we can do is pray."

Heero Yuy, placed on a stretcher, was getting transferred over to the nearest emergency room. His fellow bandmates watched in horror as his paling, limp form wore an oxygen mask. His upper chest, still visible before the sheets, rose up and down. Up and down. Up and down... Albeit slowly. Their big concert of the night was interrupted by...

"He fainted. Did he eat, at all?" Treize Khushrenada wouldn't stop asking the band's respective managers a flurry of questions with regards to the youth's health. The unsettling scene, surrounding the remaining four, didn't help their pent up emotions they're trying to hide. They just cancelled Singing. Cancelled performing. Cancelled their social plans for later. Cancelled autographs and photo ops with their ever-growing fanbase. The only way out is through this situation they now find themselves in.

Coffee Creamer Divination

Its a quick, easy and quiet way to add a touch of magic to your morning (or evening... Or night... Witches get tired too) and what could be more mundane than drinking a nice cup of coffee? If anyone asks you can always tell them you just like to watch for pretty pictures in your creamer.

Its become an essential part of my morning routine and it makes me wake up feeling so much happier and witchy.

When you pick your coffee blend and creamer, it can never hurt to choose a flavor you associate with any question you may have, but it isn't necessary.

(Please note that the associations I list are my own opinions, and if you associate these flavors with something else then that's what you should go with.)

Chocolate - Love, relationships, self care

Vanilla - Happiness, luck, sensuality, peace, to enchant others

Hazelnut - Communication, a good all purpose divination booster

Unflavored coffee - strength, focus, goals and determination, work matters

Pumpkin - Connection to afterlife and ancestors, abundance, the 'harvest' of that which you've worked for

Peppermint - Focus, clarity, knowledge

Milk (as a creamer) - Offerings, fertility, family, children, connection with earth

Bonus : add sugar, or any other sweetener to sweeten outcomes of your workings, or the behavior of others. Honey is especially good for work related matters.

I like to use powdered creamers because, lets face it, I'm about as responsible as a three year old and keeping a powdered creamer beside the coffee pot is way easier than remembering the 10 bottles of easily spoiled liquid creamer kept out if sight in the fridge. Powdered and liquid creamers make different kinds of patterns though, so it might be worth the time to try both and see which you prefer. Liquid creamers are more likely to make clouds of color which combine with your coffee faster than the powdered ones do. Powdered creamers tend to dissolve slowly making nice little swirling images in your cup.

If you have a question, think about it for a second before pouring in your creamer. If you want just a general reading, go ahead and pour it in slowly and pay attention to any pictures you see until it stops moving completely. If you don't know what a symbol means, go with your instinct first, but if you're coming up blank just google " _____ symbol meaning" and you'll get a good idea.

Stir up your coffee and enjoy! Remember, stir clockwise to manifest (like for example if you saw signs that its a good time to work towards that promotion!) and counter clockwise for banishing (use it for getting rid of tiredness or negativity).

“The Secret He Keeps” story event, MidCinEng 

Last 3 pics are from the story event “Secret Magic” from last year in 100DP. The attires and hairstyle differ, but the room and garden wallpapers, and effect are the same (though the color is red instead of purple). I never saw these attires and BGs in midcinjp on any of the Princesses (I stalked a few :D) so, I wonder if they are using attires/wallpapers/items from 100DP :( But I want 100 Days Princess translated into English ;-; 

I like the eyes, and the angelic wings set (wish they were separate from the attire).

Can you do Jordan and Aziz sibling headcanons?

- Since The Genie had remained very close with Aladdin and Jasmine, their children were bound to be no exception. Aziz and Jordan grew up together, treating eachother as if they truly were siblings.

- Jordan is older than Aziz by a couple months. (And she will never let him forget that.)

- Jordan’s nickname for Aziz is ‘Azzy’, while his nickname for her is ‘JoJo’. (Despite Jordan not being a fan of her nickname, she doesn’t mind it when Aziz calls her by it. He loves his anyways.)

- Aziz thinks very highly of Jordan and her opinions, and always makes sure that she approves of everyone he dates. (He basically thinks that she is the coolest person in the world.)

- They rarely fight, but occasionally tease eachother.

- Aziz loves visiting Jordan’s lamp, as well as getting dressed up in her unique fashion. Suprisingly, she doesn’t mind him visiting and actually enjoys hanging out with him.

- Whenever Aziz gets cornered by one of his fans, Jordan is always there to scare them off.

- Aziz knows that Jordan secretly uses magic, and although he loves the sight of it and how electric she feels when she does it, he is worried that she’s going to get caught and get in serious trouble.
