⛤Kitchen Witchcraft-Lavender⛤

Lavender is one of the most popular ingredients in the craft, whose scent eliminates tension, strengthens intuition, improves dreams and protects against evil spirits. 

This plant is ruled by the planet Mercury, the element of air and the sign of Gemini.

Among the Romans, lavender was added to bath water and served as a symbol of abundance on the table.

Due to its magical properties, lavender has been used in many rituals and spells since ancient times. 

This plant has a great influence in cleaning the negative energy of space from evil forces.

The essential oils of this magical plant are widely used to strengthen the nervous system and in periods when human energy is weak. 

Lavender oil is used to clean spaces, especially if there are frequent conflicts and arguments.

It is believed that all evil escapes from the smell of this plant. 

Lavender oil should be added to the bath if the person has a sudden drop in energy or weakness. Lavender is most often used fresh.

⛤Cleansing Spell:

Take an odd number of lavender sprigs and pour hot water on them. 

When it cools down, use the water to  wash your face and say 

“This curse I’ve banished from my face

 and sent back.”

⛤To fulfill a wish:

Take twelve dry sprigs of lavender, grind them and keep the powder in a closed box. 

Then take a candle and sprinkle some dry lavender on it.

It is believed that the wish will be fulfilled.

⛤Other facts:

It is believed that if a girl wants to attract love into her life, she should wear a small twig in her suit.

 This plant is considered a magnet for attracting the opposite sex and improving the financial situation.

 Lavender should be kept in the corner of the closet because it will protect against all evil influences and negative forces.

This plant is widely used in the field of homeopathy. It is believed that it has the strongest magical powers if it is collected during the full moon.

It is used to treat bruises, relieve anxiety and relieve stress. 

In folk medicine, it is used against stomach pain and problems with the intestines, as well as treating the kidneys.

cozy cinnamon “coffee”

i don’t drink coffee much anymore however i love a good hot chocolate! cinnamon, along with a few other additions to this potion, are great for boosting energy without the caffeine :) perfect before work, having to do a self care routine, etc 🍂

what you’ll need;

2 c oat milk (or other milk of choice ofc!!)

1 tbs cocoa powder

1 tsp honey

1 tsp sugar

.5 tsp cinnamon

3 cloves

pinch of nutmeg

☕️ stir everything together clockwise, feel free to melt in a few chunks of dark chocolate if you have it! i like to let mine simmer for around 5-8 min and up to like 15 min tops; 1-2 cinnamon sticks would work great here instead of powdered if you want <3

Homemade Lavender Syrup

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup filtered water

3 tbsp dried ultra blue lavender (make sure it is food grade!!!)

- Mix together all ingredients in a pot and boil until all sugar is dissolved.

- Remove from heat and steep for 10 minutes.

- Transfer to an air tight container, let cool and keep in fridge for up to 7 days

Perfect for tea, coffee, lattes, oatmeal, or anything else for which you’d like to use it! Lavender is used for bringing peace and calmness, healing, meditation, and protection from negative energy. It also tastes absolutely incredible.

Clarity/Joy Lemonade Syrup Spell

On a whim I decided to make enchanted/magick lemonade, and it turned out a lot better than I expected, so I’m adding it to the digital grimoire here :) 

Ingredients: 

About a cup and a quarter lime or lemon juice (i used lime), for banishing negativity, cleansing stale energy, and generally freshening things up. 

Very generous pinch of rosemary, I’d say about a tablespoon? I recommend fresh/not dried. For protection, clearing negative and stale energy.

two apricot halves. Idk what their ‘known’ magical properties are, I associated them with joy, sunlight, and harmony when making this.

cup and a half of sugar, to sweeten your day and your mood

Small piece of ginger, chopped small, to add energy and vitality, really give a kick of inspiration and energy to your day. 

I added a few butterfly pea flowers at the end while the syrup cooled for their properties of transformation and change to add to the syrups properties of boosting positive energy, but i’m not sure whether this affected the flavor/color at all. 

Just add all of those things into a big pot on the stove, simmer for a while until all the sugar is melted and everything is looking/smelling like it’s infused, then strain into a container. Then this syrup (less syrup texture, it was still about the same consistency as water) can be mixed in small parts with water to make lemonade. A little bit of the syrup goes a hell of a long way, it is very strong, at least the batch I made was.

I've noticed in lots of the spells that I read, the herbs or botany that ia used are just discarded after the ritual and that just doesn't sit with me right. I feel called in my practice to waste as little resources as possible.

For example for bay leaf wishes I use the bay leaf in my cooking and I'll fish it out and rinse it, flatten it as it dries and then use it for my witchcraft. If I put an intention into my cooking then I'll let the bay leaf charge in either moon water or the moon light, since I used it's magical potency in my cooking.

Anyway, I think I'm going to try and rewrite many of the spells I come across into recipes or no waste alternatives, since spices are also kinda expensive to just be sweeping away when you're done with your ritual. It still has so much life left.

So if anyone has any spells they want to be rewritten or something send them to me! I'll work on them and test them so it might take a while but I'll do it!! :)
