I forgot I made this commission for Box ( 💖) and I think since it's this cold, it's very much à propos. Softness under the snow.

Chang Wufei (and Long Meilan) in the 30th anniversary video of New Mobile Report Gundam Wing 🐲
Silly and niche fanart of @cyborgnachte ‘s AC in UC AU
His breath catches in his throat, and he sobs suddenly before he begins to cough.
“Hey!” Duo calls from somewhere behind him, but he can’t be bothered to acknowledge him at the moment. The coughing is getting worse, and he’s had to stop walking and use his free hand to brace himself against the nearest wall. He can feel an obstruction in his throat, lodged deep and stubborn.
“Hey! Are you okay?” Duo again, and this time his voice is accompanied by his footsteps, cautious at first and then hurried.
Wufei doesn’t know exactly when he decided to abandon his coffee, but he does watch the cup soundlessly bounce when it hits the ground, splashing hot liquid over the toe of his boot. With that hand now free, he brings it to his mouth, coughing hard into his palm. His eyes are wide and watering by the time Duo ducks under his arm and pulls him away from the wall, offering his body as support instead.
When his legs start to give, Duo goes with him and they kneel on the colony street together.
“We should get you to a doc – ” Duo starts, but he doesn’t get to finish.
Wufei retches suddenly, and the thing inside his throat finally dislodges, escaping through his mouth. The coughing stops, and Wufei slowly pulls his shaking hand away from his face. There, in his palm, slick with blood and saliva, is the whole ruined head of a red peony.
“Oh,” Duo says, looking at the flower and then slowly toward Wufei’s face. He’s flushed from exertion and, if Duo had to guess, some embarrassment.

Heero: What kind of bi?
Duo: What
Heero: Bilingual? Bisexual? Bipolar?
Trowa: lmao probably all 3
Wufei: A bitch
Who is responsible for this?!
So I think Super Robot Wars have always pretty consistently portrayed EW-era Wufei Chang (quite appropriately if you ask me) as a massive asshole.
However, after having seen him thus far in my Super Robot Wars Y playthrough, particularly his appearance in the Lelouch of the Resurrection finale, I’m feeling like this game is taking him from ‘sanctimonious dickhead who ditches his friends to join up with the new bad guys’ he usually is to full-blown ‘crazed, raving, nihilistic lunatic edgelord who wants the whole world to suffer for his unresolved trauma’.
I mean does anyone else feel like Wufei is sounding quite a bit more UNHINGED than usual with all the ranting and rambling he’s on about ‘Peace is a lie!’ and ‘War is the truth of humanity!’?
Just look at his apparent obsession with killing Zero. Looking at other characters; Heero is very much fixated on Lelouch himself, seeing him (quite understandably) as still a potential threat to the world, and Shalio is clearly MUCH more interested in killing Suzaku specifically as part of his whole ‘prove I’m the very best like no one ever was’ shtick.
Meanwhile, it seems like Wufei doesn’t actually know, or even care who’s behind the mask, and simply wants to kill Zero him/them/itself. As in, I get the sense that Wufei is looking at this larger-than-life figure who basically saved the world and has effectively become humanity’s newfound symbol for peace in this post-war world, and is thinking; I must KILL this symbol of their peace!!!
Seriously, that is some ‘I want to murder Santa Claus!’ levels of unhinged, coo-coo-for-cocoa-puffs shit.
Also, I feel like he hasn’t even joined up with the Mariemaia Army, at least not yet. Instead it feels like at this point Wufei is just going around trying to collect people he considers like-minded to himself for some weird nihilistic warrior-cult dedicated to ‘stopping world peace’.
And this gets more interesting considering that at this point (for reference, I’m just about done with Chapter 3), Wufei has made a few notable appearances in the story, whereas the Mariemaia Army has appeared all of ONCE. In a side mission.
Basically, assuming we’re sticking to the SRW trend of the Mariemaia Army ultimately being a totally irrelevant fucking joke of a villain faction, I think Super Robot Wars Y might actually be effectively ‘promoting’ Wufei into being the actual Main Antagonist of the Endless Waltz storyline.
And I gotta say, I think that is a pretty cool writing choice. :D
Wufei regrets his crush some what
