Secret Tree...
Secret Tree
I am standing in our favorite spot, only the trees are unfamiliarly bare and dying. Judging by the small blanket of cracked brown leaves that quiver on the dirt beneath my sneakers, it appears that this autumn would be the last that these trees would shed any leaves. The wind picks and I pull my coat tighter around me, and sink down into the warming curve of the Secret Tree.
This tree was our favorite spot to exchange thoughts, secrets, and to have our deepest and most intellectual conversations that we were capable of having at the time. It was the mystery of the moon that brought these secrets out. At least that’s what you always led me to believe. Now here I am underneath the waning moon admiring the few puffs of cloud that had the energy to get back up in the sky after all of the falling tears today.
As the million billion suns die, they coalesce into one singular form of energy, before they ultimately end or explode into super nova. It is the vanishing point, where you and me don't matter, but we do. And so do you. Yes You. We are all Dying Suns, sewn into the same fabric. Endlessly dying, constantly living, in the pattern of the infinite universe.
