★Sans★
Elizabeth instantaneously became "attached" (intrigued) to Sans as soon as she met him. The reason for that being because of Sans's honesty: His ill manners, his nonchalant nature, his actual friendliness. It was so... Different. Different and completely new to Elizabeth. At first, it was basically a culture shock seeing such a person who is LITERALLY the opposite of her.
She felt envy. Envy of his (perceived) honesty to himself. She wanted to be him. Be like him! She follows him around not just to see what this guy does next, but because perhaps, she wants to learn how he is the way he is, and how she can do what he does too.
To add a little more insight, another reason why she became "attached" to Sans and trusted him enough to start following him around, is because of his height! Him being a full foot shorter than her really helped making him look even less intimidating lol.
★Papyrus★
She's fond of Papyrus: his ego, his boisterous nature, his silly antics, (allbeight wearily because sometimes as an introvert, she just needs some quiet, but she loves the skele-bro. :3), AND ESPECIALLY his kindness.
★When she first met him, his EXTREME height (of eight foot) terrified her. I mean- an eight foot tall talking (more like dramatically yelling but okay) skeleton!? AHHHHHHH. But after awhile of him just being- Well, Papyrus. She realized he wasn't as intimidating as she believed. Maybe she was wrong... Maybe she's been a bit too stubborn?.. Maybe she's been narrow-minded.
★When she began to sleep at their house, she felt like she was taking advantage of them because she didn't entirely trust them at the time. She allowed herself to sleepover at their house as a "survival thing."
↓Yap about what I mean by "survival thing"↓
This also is what I meant by resourceful all the way back. She is that, yes, but I'm looking for another word to describe her. The word I'm looking for doesn't fully fit under the definition of "selfish", as she takes others opinions and being into consideration to a concerning degree.
The word I'm looking for also fits under "survivalist". She puts her survival first like a rabbit. She flees to survive, but she also does it because to her it's a win-win situation. It appeases the enemy since there is no more conflict. This way, she takes her selfish desire to survive, and the enemy and it's desires, into account in a balance.
↑END OF YAP↑
But... They grew on her. And in time... Became her first friends. They showed, and helped her learn, a little more kindness. Especially Papyrus! Papyrus gave her hope and taught her better morals than what she was raised around. That people aren't a collection of factors, stereotypes, and likelihoods of pain, but are more complicated and real that she thought. That she should give everybody, no matter what the look like, a chance to prove themselves.
He really is the bestest friend she could have ever asked for.
★Undyne★
Terrified of her. She heard that Undyne is head of the royal guard and that Royal Guardsmen take human SOUL's so the barrier can be broken. This girl DOES NOT wanna die. This is part of the reason why she doesn't leave Snowdin.
Although, after she finds out (in the future) that Undyne is Papyrus's best friend and is chiller (less murderous) than she thought, her fear lessens as she attempts to explore the underground.
Undyne intrigued and confuses Elizabeth because of how fierce Undyne was "for a woman". Due to her family, a loud independent woman and woman being head of a GUARD or AUTHORITY was ABSOLUTELY unheard of. It kinda... Empowers and inspires her?? Elizabeth projects her sexist expectations onto herself and the woman around her and Undyne breaks those expectations every. Single. Time.
Undyne does the things Elizabeth thought she couldn't. The things she thought woman couldn't. More importantly, she herself couldn't. It gave her hope and confidence (after she learned she wasn't a child murderer like she first thought! Heh) seeing what she thought was impossible, possible. It made her start to think "maybe I could do that too.."
★Toriel★
Elizabeth: was on edge around Toriel due to her tallness and the fact Toriel kept referring to her as "my child", but as she spent more time with her, she realized that Toriel was chiller than she thought. They become somewhat friends. Kinda like aaa.. Distant Grandaunt and Grandniece???? I dunno Toriel's old and friends with her dad. (Sans :3)
Sorry if this sounds bare bones I haven't played Undertale before and I don't know anything about Toriel lol
★William Rose Johnson III★
Her biological father.
★Mary Von Johnson★
Her biological mother.
↓Concept idea yap ↓
★Mary used to be like Elizabeth. Her father and mother were completely strict. Mary is obsessed with normalcy! This is why she didn't end up disliking posh people like Elizabeth, but instead gave up fighting and even fell in love with one (William). Now don't get me mixed up. Her past parallels Elizabeth a bit and is a little sympathetic, but that's her past. She chose to be the way she is now. She has seen outs. Outs from her marriage.
And she never took them. Why? Because she found that she enjoys the way she has control over her family now instead of the opposite. Especially control Elizabeth.
She is not a good person. She is also a "little" bonkers.
Deadass might be a yandere for neatness because when Elizabeth fell out of line?
She was okay with William's plan to kill her.
She didn't want a toy that kept messing up her polished life. And Elizabeth was too... "Like her past self" for Mary's taste. She'd rather get rid of that.
Such a bitter and hypocritical woman...
★Mary has crazy internalized misogyny so she automatically liked George more than Elizabeth.
★She gives more love to her son because he he is more charismatic. Less "meek" than Elizabeth was. It's twisted how she cared less when he was disobedient than when Elizabeth ATTEMPTED to be. George hit somebody? Hey! Don't do that again. ... Suppers ready!~ Elizabeth pushed a boy that was yelling at her at school? Go to your fucking room.
★She doesn't like seeing, reading, or interacting with things that are genuinely pitiful.
★William is like Mary's parents. Not sympathetic. (?) He was like this from the start and perpetuates the cycle of suffering to the poor people of Elizabeth's town. He was raised to be better than people, especially woman, and believed it to be true to make him feel better about the heels he himself were stabbed with.
★I kinda want William and Mary to be foils to each other. Sure, William was like this from the start, but... Did he want to stay that way as a child? Did Mary want to change as a child? In the end, they became just like the other.
★Anyway- I want them to envious of the other for the way they approach life??? Idk what I'm saying.
Mary was less stubborn as him as a child so she read and get along better with her peers more.
William was bolder, more adventurous, and ruder.
★(BUT they both got their education of course I'm just saying who has more than who here.)
Together they have book smarts, street smarts and social smarts! And both want to be the other.
Anyway, they do generally love each other somehow. They got CRAZY chemistry. It's toxic tho and their chemistry probably explodes the lab since their both flipping abusers.
★All this could change at any point. I'm just saying an idea to make them more interesting than just "Elizabeth's abusers".
Also chat I just copy and pasted Enid and Sophronia into mellowed down versions of them??? THE PERSONALITY PART IS THEM DOWN TO THE CHILDHOOD???HELPPP??? WHAT DO I DO I NEED TO FIX THIS AND MAKE THEM DIFFERENT FROM ENID AND SOPHRONIA??? THIS IS 100% ALL GONNA HAVE TO CHANGE OR GO. 😭🙏🙏
↑End of concept idea yap↑
★George Von Johnson★
Her little brother.
