It’s still a while away from release but yesterday I received the completed, fully inked pages so I couldn't help but want to share something here...
Above are some un-inked panels from mine and Ben Rausch (of Cool Your Jets)’s upcoming serial in SECTOR. It’s called Red Air and it’s about Mars, music and madness. We think you’re gonna love it.
Until we collaborated on this, I’d never written a comic that was definitely going to get published and Ben had never ever drawn a comic before (his event flyers are legendary though). Over the last few months he’s just proven what a shit hot talent he is. I, meanwhile, am hoping and praying that everybody loves John Carpenter movies and dance music from the 2000s as much as I do.
The folks at Outer Limits Jo’burg have uploaded some photos from Free Comic Book Day to Facebook, including a few of our little sector of the artist and gamer tables.
SECTOR #1 is still available at Outer Limits for R30.00 (if you don’t find a copy, let us know here or at [email protected]).
The artwork of all three immediately grabs you, as each story’s style showcases enough diversity but maintains the same high calibre. The scripts are equally as strong and resounding. It’s evident that every writer took the time to plot out the story, but also to discuss and work closely with the artists to ensure the correct tone.

Looks like we’re off to a good start. See you all this weekend for the Free Comic Book Day launch.
