Most things that have happened to her lately are either depressing or embarrassing, depending on which after-effect of what has happened to her is involved. Today, with Fitz coming back to the base hours earlier and finding her in his bunk, back against his bed because she didn't think it was okay to sleep on it without permission, and hugging one of his cardigans, it's mortifying. Thankfully she woke up before he even started opening the door - she must have heard him speak to someone - so she doesn't react violently; instead, she meets his eyes, quickly pulls the cardigan away from her and finds her mind blank. "I can explain," Jemma declares with a confidence she shouldn't have, and stands up. She's supposed to tell him that his jacket still smells a little like him, and that it makes her feel safe. "-I can't explain," she concludes, nervously twisting her fingers.
