i’m reminded that the best moment of the series for me remains from the first forty minutes or so—the one that’s got ko staring from his bedroom window to that of the mysterious dweller of the house beside his. it’s a beat from augar’s fright about ko’s first night by his lonesome, and he’s all aghast about it—doubting if he’ll be able to stand the dark absent of his mom or dad or one of his buddies there also—but for some reason he shifts to stare at what’ll be ko song’s bedroom. and it’s so. GOOD. the way the bgm—similar to a big metal bell or gong—rises to a still as his eyes falls to the old frame and ruffled-design blinds. it’s so subtle, so mundane, but so telltale, the longing he feels at that moment—for it to be ko song’s bedroom. the odd surety that if it is, that he’ll feel reassured—be able to slumber all sound. the way that manifests so that it is, so that as he hides, head almost buried by his sheets, from mysterious monsters and ghastly beasts…. he realises there’s something bright off to his bedside, as if the moon on the most undisturbed and starry of nights. that he mindlessly goes to it—sits by his desk and stares to the other’s. and all he’s doing is studying—a most boring sight for ko—but that of the boy doing so feels still far from dull or monotonous. and it’s so beautiful so glimmering so full so mesmerizing a sight that he fights off the doze if to stare for a bit more, all before he’s lulled to a bed of as beautiful dreams of the more beautiful boy before his window. and mind you, that boy is one he met mere days ago, that he doesn’t at this stage realise also goes by “ko.”
