Rant time

So I've been thinking lately about myself and what I do and don't believe in. For example, religion is a rocky place right now. But the one thing I am positive about is that Tumblr went from a place I would go to on my down days that would cheer me up to something I avoid using. I'm not saying everybody on this website is like this, but lately there has been so much hate on straight people. What I don't understand is why people who were shamed for liking their same gender are shaming people who like the opposite gender. I grew up thinking of sexuality as a hair color; sometimes you're born with one color but it changes as you mature, and sometimes you stick with the same hair color your entire life. I must have been crazy to think that everybody else who supports the queer gay/bi/trans/a/pans community would think of it the same way. I am straight and that's all there is to it. I am positive I like men. Hey, maybe in the long run I might fall for some amazing girl but I am physically and mentally attracted to men right now in my life, and I am ashamed of it. People assume that because I am straight, I think that all women are disgusting or that I couldn't possibly understand what any gay/bi/trans/a/pans person says because of who I am attracted to sexually. I'm not saying that I need sympathy more than gay/bi/trans/a/pans people because I know that you go through shit way more than I do, but you aren't the only ones who have to put up with it. All I'm trying to say here is that, I don't want this website to turn into some big war between gay/bi/trans/a/pans and straight people.
